An elven messenger appears before the gates of Kraak Helzak, the doors of the Knights of the Silver Rose and the bridge of Doron Amar. A falcon is also seen circling the southern Sharp Teeth woods. These messengers leave a note:

"Allies Against the Rising Darkness in the North,

Our enemies grow strong and we have done nothing. It is time this comes to an end. We shall meet at the river Boareskyr on the next full moon. Send your finest warriors, arcanists and scouts. They should come prepared for their strengths will be tested to their limits.

*signed*
Laisren Ua Tiernan
Ahk'aegis of Dharasha"

(( OK, we need to get together and get some combat practice in guys. All those who wish to partake out of these groups may sign up by posting below in an IC response to the message. I will send you the date and time there after.

I will be running the first session this week but any subsequent combat trainings thereafter may be run by your guilds. Let's get this ball rolling and have some fun with it.

It will be a RP session that will be combat focused. Bring your A game for both ;) ))

Before the falcon raises again to return to his home, another message is added that he should deliver.

As Tyn walks through the Southern Sharpteeth woods, he spies the bird over head and calls to it, holding out his arm for it to land.

As he takes a note, he offers the bird a freshly killed field mouse to munch on as he reads over the missive.

Nodding to himself, he pens a reply quickly and attaches it to the bird....letting it finish it's meal before having it take to the air again.....

The note simply reads "I shall inform the circle - Tyn"

-Eowiel, upon returning to Doron Amar, finds the notice and nods, then pens a note to Celasorsan and the rest of the Blade Guard-

This will be a good time to train together and to learn each other's tactics. I believe we should meet this call.

-signed in flowing script-
Eowiel

Combat Training Overview:

The purpose of this post is for you to familiarize yourself with the proceedings of the "Combat Training Event". It is not expected that your character should be familiar with this information but it is good as a general oversight to avoid IG complications. Please review this at your leisure.

Goals:

*To formalize our alliance
*To familiarize each guild with the combat styles of the others
*Build comradeship
*Develop effective strategies for multiple combat situations
*Create a series of intra-guild "Official" positions

Guideline:

1.) Your character will be designated into one of these five combat roles:

A.) Specialists: Rogues/Scouts (non-combat)
B.) Frontline Troops: Fighters/Paladins/Tanks builds
C.) Support/Shock Troops: Clerics, Druids and Shamans
D.) Ranged Artillery: Archers, Sorcerers and Wizards
E.) Strikers: Hipsing Melee

2.) Two commanders (High Ranking/Mid Ranking) will be chosen from each guild, they will designate their own titles:

Selkerdrim, King's Guard, Knight Commander, etc.........these titles will provide you rank within any intra-guild combat activities. All those who are designated will be recorded within an allied forum log for the DMs and other players to review.

Example: EDE will have Ahk'aegis (High Ranking) and Villi (Mid Ranking).

3.) An official for the Combat Training will be chosen from the guild hosting the training:

In this scenario, Ahk'Aegis Laisren and Saline Ua Tiernan will be made officials for this event. This will change depending on who next calls forth an allied training event to DA members, OSR members, etc.....but the officials will dictate the course of the training. They generally do not participate in such trainings.

Combat training events:

1.) Capture The Flag Event:

*Two teams will be selected each with one flag.
*The teams object will be to capture their opponents flag and return it to their own base
*They must also defend their flag from possible capture
*If an opponents flag is brought back to your base for 120 secs, you win
*If your team in it's entirety is knocked out, you loose (there is no raising during the event)

2.) King of the Hill/Fort:

*Two teams will be selected
*One team will be set as defenders of a position
*The other team the assailants of that position
*The Defenders must defend their position at all costs
*The assailants purpose is to dislodge (120 secs) and/or knockout the opposing team

Rules of Engagement:

*There is NO raising
*All combat items and clickables are in play (bombs, weapon clickables etc.....)
*Healing outside of divine caster spells is not allowed (no kits, or potions)
*Once you are knocked out, there is no rejoining the battle PERIOD

(more to come ;) )

((bump, and to clear up any misunderstandings. This does not have preconceived relation with the Fall of Triel Thread. In it's inception, this was meant to be strictly a player side event. Any DM involvement, while welcomed, would be of their own choosing and as of now, not premeditated ;) ))

((ooc: is this only for elves to join? or any guild, the thread says Elfsong and many elven charactrers rp it always, so Im not so sure sometimes.. if Im out of place just deleted this.

*Azmodeth, founder of the Trillium see's the notice, and contemplates it.

"Maybe Trilium should go out and get some training. . ."

((This would not in fact be open to all guilds. This is a closed message to allied parties and not open to outside viewing. It is also not an elven dominated proceeding. Each guild listed shares an equal responsibility. It's not to say that others would be un-welcomed but there would need to be an RP basis for their invitation. These groups have been RPing together in a form of alliance for the last 6-8 months ;) ))

//good luck with that, especially if we are to consider the absurd amount of dedicated spotters all the involved guilds have. As co-leader of one of the guilds involved, I would prefer it if you would do such things in-game, with the obvious risks an act of espionage would entail, rather than godmodding things via forum and pretending that your group nonchalantly manages to get past all of us as if we were greener than grass newbies.

((No problem Azmodeth. Again, so you are aware that message was sent via a silent messanger. Your character would have no way of knowing of this planned training, unless they were told of it IG by one of the PCs apart of these groups.

That being said, if ongoing training is continued (which I am unsure being away from the game) and your toon does become aware ICly, you are more than welcomed. A little intrigue never hurts anything :) ))
