Active Guilds?

Are there any current active UD guilds? I am new to the UD and usually end up grouping up with anyone I find..quite often I end up meeting up with the same people. However I was curious if there were any active UD guilds? I have a drow warlock and a dwarf barb/fighter that may be in search of a guild to enhance the RP perspective =) I looked under the guild contacts but was hoping for some more veteran UD players who could possibly point me in the right direction for each of my characters =)

I know of three active guilds:

The Temple of Lolth/ House Sshamath - Lolth worshipping House based upon matrilineal rule.

The Seventh Circle - a loose agglomeration of a wide variety of persons under an umbrella group for potential protection and gain.

Bregan D'aerthe - the Sshamath chapter of the mercenary guild based in Menzoberranzan. Unlike the parent group, the guild in Sshamath is less hierarchical and promotes common interests instead of focusing on Jarlaxle's ambitions alone. As a mercenary organization, Bregan does not promote any religious doctrines and guards its ability to operate freely with a watchful eye. Only Drow can become full members though Bregan does 'hire' agents of other races and holds out the possibility of permanent association in mutually beneficial relationships.

My own characters are involved with Bregan D'aerthe (though not for very long). If you have any further question with regards to becoming an agent of Bregan feel free to PM me. You can also contact, Thal, Selande, Illithid, or Grave_Zero.

The character you met yesterday at the goblins was one of Bregan. *Waves*

Bregan used to be pretty active a few weeks ago. Myself I've had less hours than usual ingame lately due to an overload of work (almost 7 days out of 7, 60+ hours/week). But next week it'll slow down.

The drow warlock would be pretty respected in the Temple of Lolth, of course if he followed Lolth.

We do need fresh blood who are willing to play a Lolthite if we are going to keep the Temple existing as a player faction, also.

FIY: I am NOT its guild leader. I'm its garde.... err, it's Moderator. :)
I am active more outside the game with the Lolthites than IG, since my attention is mostly taken by the Surface, in case some of you were wondering why I was a pretty useless guild leader.

If someone wants to lead it, the position is vacant!

Actually, I am quite not sure about warlocks being respected...

With the events that happened last year, they're more respected than they were in the past for sure.

Edit: Thank you Rainbow Prism for pointing that out. You are absolutely correct.

Lolth deals with demons regularly. Therefore warlocks who make pacts with demons rather than devils would be respected. Lolth herself is a demon lord, ruler of the Demonweb Pits. Her clerics are known for communicating regularly with demons, so they would get along famously. Both male and female, though obviously female more-so.

Now if you were a warlock OF Lolth, or one of her associate demons...

Prepare to be walked all over, but liked/used more than most.

In 4th edition they are even allowed into the Clergy, though this is me caring about that (only Yath should be allowed into the Clergy!!)

Now if only there was a Gate and Epic Gate spell to summon DEMONS not devils...

Others of the Militant Myrlochar are even more fearsome, and closer to the divine nature of the priestesses. These are the Demonbinders (Warlock), bound in contract to Tana'ri in Lolth's service. They serve the temple closely with their powers, often accompanying priestesses as their most sought-after agents (and advisors). A Demonbinder is ranked above all other ranks in the Temple, save the Yathrin, and the Ul'Faerz'un'arr.

My drow warlock is a male =( For RP wise of him following Lolth..could work but I would have to look into the RP aspect of following Lolth and such =) I also have a drow female wizard!

Beats me, he became pretty inactive after one of my characters met up with the deadly drow. Sad really, we want to see him login again!
