Background: Seon Ji was born to a single mother (Yi Ji In) in the northern parts of Koguryo. In 1339 the King of Silla managed to conquer and unite the entire Choson peninsula, founding the Choson kingdom. Seon Ji's mother at this point took her with other citizens of Koguryo and fled north into Shou Lung. A settlement was made where former Koguryons lived and farmed the land. The settlement had little contact with other communities due to language barriers but one of the nine immortals (Kwan Ying) decided to cast favour upon the young girl, what the reason was she has little knowledge of. Perhaps to spread the Celestial Bureaucracy in the settlement. At any rate, the villagers did not favour these newly found poowers of Seon Ji and as a result, when her mother was about to be remarried. The man in question wanted nothing to do with Seon Ji. She then decided to leave the village and travel north and in the year she had turned nineteen she steps out of a wagon outside the eastern gates of Baldur's Gate.
