Charea Ashtongue

(Edit: Pretty much everything that happened to her in Neverwinter has been nixed by the PG-13. It'll still have happened, but I just can't actively refer to it. If people want to hear because they like some dark character background to back up their villains, feel free to PM me, though, fair warning, it won't be PG-13)
((If you're unable to keep yourself from meta-gaming one way or another, I'd suggest not reading on.))

((A note here. This gets kinda dark. Charea is a villain but I'd like to give her somewhat of a reasonable background to fit this. So yeah, you've been warned. DMs, if it gets -too- harsh let me know, and I can tone it down some.))
Born, as she likes to say, to the bastard child of an angel, Charea's formative years were not particularly easy. Her grandmother had been utterly broken mentally when her celestial lover left her in order to fight in the endless war of good and evil, and she had not taken particularly good care of Charea's mother, Vira. This neglect was passed along to the young Aasimar by her half-celestial mother. There was hardly ever enough food, and most people in the small eastern village that they lived in would shoot suspicious glances towards the young pale girl with the odd eyes.
Charea would do odd jobs on the farms surounding the town to try and make ends meet, but it was rarely very easy. Her father had been a lumberjack and had died early in her life when a tree had fallen on him, and just before Charea turned thirteen, her mother caught a high fever. There was nothing that could be done, and whatever illness it had been, it burned through her in a few weeks, and the young Aasimar was soon left without parents.
With nothing to tie her to the village, Charea soon left the place. There were few fates available to her there, and neither the life of a farmhand or a (germbag) sounded particularly agreeable to her. Hitting the road, she travelled the different lands of Faerun, finding different jobs to do to make her way, and also learning to survive off the land. Charea also found that she had a love for books, and for the knowledge and secrets found within them, the more hidden and dark the better. It could be that her resentment for her grandfather led the girl towards such pursuits, or it could merely be her own darkness appearing on its own.
Some years passed, and eventually the young scholar-in-training found her way to the sword coast, ending up in the city of Neverwinter, intending to see if she might not find some kind of job to earn her gold. It was here that she met Father Petorius.
Charea had not really meant to stay in Neverwinter for long. She never really stayed in any place for long, as there was rarely any place for her to stay that did not demand gold in return, and of that she had regretably little. On her second day in the city however a man called out to her in the street, a man wearing the trappings of a Helmite Cleric.
The man had recognized Charea's features for what they were, a sign of her angelic blood, and he called her to him. The two talked for a while, and Father Petorius was seemingly facinated with the well-spoken young woman. He asked if she had a place to stay, and when she told him that she did not really he offered her to come and stay with him at his house. It was not a huge place, he told her, but she was most welcome, and he would not ask anything in return.
Thus Charea moved into Father Petorius' house, and, at first, it was better than she could have hoped for. She had a comfortable bed all to herself, and the cleric had numerous books in his study that she could browse at her leisure. She was fed and sheltered without seemingly having to pay anything in return, and things proceeded in this way for almost two weeks.
Yet something must have happened then to change Charea, for later, when she left Neverwinter, she had changed. Charea, the scholar, had entered the city, but when she left, she was Charea, the witch and cultist to Asmodeus, the King of Hell...
Later, she heard that the priest had hanged himself in his room. She felt no pity.
In the years that passed since then, she had travelled the lands of Faerun as before, but now with different goals, finding forbidden knowledge but also forming cults to the Dark Lords of Baator whereever she went. How her story will end, only the gods might know, or perhaps the archfiends
Goals:
Spread the worship of Asmodeus through deceit and subterfuge. Gaining additonal personal power, knowledge, influence, and wealth.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
Charea has always been careful to mask herself and keep her identity a secret when she spread the word of the King of Hell, but she has made enemies along the way, even if most of those enemies would not have any idea what she looks like.
