Personality Profile:
Vaelor is relatively formal by nature. It is not that he has no sense of humor, merely that it is understated, subtle. He strives in many ways to be what he considers to be an ideal Elf - dignified, graceful, wise, reasoned. And yet he is still young for an Elf, and he wars within himself between his protective, responsible side and his drive to explore and find adventure. He sees himself as a defender of the Elven people, and has dedicated his life to that ideal.

Background:
Vaelor was born in Silverymoon in the Silver Marches. Everyone has their calling, and to some that call is stronger than others. The calling seems strongest in artists - there is a compulsiveness to it, the urge to create. Some are drawn to painting, others to sculpture or music. Vaelor is drawn to the blade in the same way a musician is drawn to their instrument and music. His fascination began early, and he took to the typical martial training of a Moon Elf with relish. Although not strong, his quickness and agility soon marked him as unusually talented. Even more unusual was his drive and passion for sword play.
He soon caught the eye of Bladesing Tathar Telemnar, who took Vaelor on as his apprentice. Training him in his chosen Bladesinger style, Kerymvian (Translated as "Graceful Sword") Vaelor learned the art of the rapier, focusing on intricate parries, ripostes and graceful movement around his enemies. The fusing of magic within this style came more slowly to him, but under his Master's tutelage his burgeoning powers slowly came to life.
Together they left Silverymoon, travelling across the marches for several years, where Vaelor learned more about the enemies of the Tel-quessir (especially the Orcs and Goblins so common to the area). He studied their tongues, and picked up some skills pertinent to adventuring that do not come to one residing in a civilized city.
Eventually, Tathar decided it was time for Vaelor to 'spread his wings', and travel alone for a time, to further explore his skills and abilities with greater independence. He was sent to the Sword Coast, to return to Silverymoon after a time. And so, our intrepid would-be defender of the Tel-quessir arrived in Baldur's Gate.
Goals: To master his style of Bladesinging and protect the Tel-quessir he meets along the way.
Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts: Nothing leaps immediately to mind!
