Appearance:

Beldris is rather short for a shield dwarf. Though still displaying a stocky build, she seems much thinner than those of her ilk. Her skin is soft and pale, with her wide, though small nose, peppered with freckles. Atop that sits two deep, blue eyes that seem to look as though they're rippling pools of water in a still cave.

Background:

Born into an old dwarven clan who's legacy had long since passed into time, Beldris was an odd one. Unlike her fellow clan-mates who were mostly warriors and brewers, Beldris took up more scholarly and arcane interests.

Taking on odd jobs as a scribe and lore keeper, Beldris learned a number of languages and writing forms. Using these skills, she was able to transcribe and translate numerous ancient texts and coordinate a catalogue system for her clan's records.

After a number of years working with the written word, Beldris found herself apprenticed to a venerable dwarven mage. Under his tutelage she learned the more mystical side of knowledge, focusing on a mix of abjuration and divination magics.

Finally, after she learned all she could from her master, she left for the wide open world in an effort to learn and expand on her knowledge. Considering herself a bit of a historian, archaeologist, and scholar, she has set out to explore and record history and the events that transpired, shaping the world she currently lives in.


Goals:

To discover ancient ruins, texts, and knowledge buried, lost, or hidden from the world. To learn new things about the past and share them with whoever is interested, and perhaps even write books about what she finds.

She is quite knowledgeable of dwarven lore, as well as miscellanious lore regarding the surface world.

Is a close-quarters, defensive caster, preferring to protect and defend than out right attack. Though she does know some offensive spells and is capable with weapons like clubs and maces.

Her clan crest is that of a golden ale keg situated over a blue heater shield lined in silver.
