- Despite his antagonistic view of others, he is a kind spirit, and will help those in need without asking for a reward. As long as the person in question is deemed worthy of help, no task is too small, and he has even agreed to help housewives with their laundry, probably due to his childlike behavior around women.
- Seems to be very occupied with his thoughts when alone, but alert and wary when on a task.

- Is a skilled archer, at least compared to the common man, and also knows how to use the dagger, both as a tool and a weapon.

Languages: Common

Background:
Jonar Zeliende grew up in Beregost, where he and his lone mother resided during his up-bringing. He never knew his father, apparently the man left his mother when she became pregnant. She told Jonar that his father was a traveller who frequently courted her whenever he came past Beregost, but stopped visiting after the news of the pregnancy.

When Jonar turned 15, his mother tragically died. A giant spider had jumped on her when she was out in the woods. She survived the attack and got away, but the spiders poison soon made her very ill. Within hours, she was dead. Jonar, now alone in the world, were overcome by anger, and used his last gold to buy a longbow and half a quiver of arrows. For days, he tracked through the forest in search of the spiders lair. When he eventually found it, he was set upon by the creature. Needless to say, Jonar found himself on deep water, but through pure luck, he prevailed. The spider lay dead at his feet, and Jonar himself severely injured. He had been bitten, and poisoned, just like his mother. Lucklily for him, his young body was stronger than that of his mothers, and the poison didn't seem to affect his quite as fatally. Even so, he had caught a bad fever, and soon got lost in the woods. With a prayer to Chauntea, he slumped to the ground in a forest clearing. He knows not how long he was gone, but when he awoke, he was in a bed. Apparently a farmer had walked past the clearing and seen his body on the ground. He had dragged Jonar to his house, and cared for him for three days.

When asked about what had happened, Jonar told the man everything. Apparently, the spider he had killed had been pestering the mans cattle for months. He told Jonar that he had prayed for Chauntea to protect his farm. Naturally, the man told jonar that he was the answer to his prayers.

With no-where else to go, Jonar took up residence at the farm, scouting the area for threats, and even starting to guide travellers through the woods, whom he now knew as the back of his hand. He slew many a beast during the years at the farm, and quickly gained a reputation of ranger and huntsman. However, Jonar seemed to be carrying around a darkness within him, anger and feelings of inadequacy, and the joy he felt when putting down a beast was the only thing that could quell this anger, but not for long. He had no qualms about killing the young ones, either. Wolf-cubs, spider-eggs, anything that he considered a threat, or would-be threat, to humans. Some even thought he sometimes went to far in his zeal, and that this behavior sprang from a desire to avenge his mother. But as most people know, vengeance can never be quenched, and only makes you yearn for more...

At the age of 27, the farmer passed away of old age, and Jonar once more found himself alone. With no-where to go, and not content with taking up the life as a farmer, he said his prayers and joined the first caravan to Baldurs' Gate.

Goals:
- Kill monsters. In any shapes and sizes. No matter the cost.
- Help those in need, as he knows of the burden of not being able

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
- In the future, Jonar will learn that sometimes, balance needs to exist, and that monsters, beasts and animals are also a part of nature
- His real father may appear, having heard of a young man from Beregost with his features, that is desperate for guidance. But how would Jonar handle such an encounter? Will he blame his father for all his misfortunes? Will his quest for vengeance turn on his father?
