Background:
Grew up on the Streets of Amn where Noric at the age of 8 was caught red handed trying to steal some food. The Man, whose beard was as dark as night, wore grayish robes and a Red cloak recognized that Noric was a hungry child without a home. The man searched out Noric's parents and found his mother who also lived on the streets. The Man introduced himself and offered to Noric and his mother to take them with him to WaterDeep where they both will be given a warm bed, food, and an education for Noric. The Mother asked why he would offer this to Noric? to which his answer was, "The Pocket in which Noric stole food from contained very valuable items in it and he just so happened to take my favorite piece of fruit, a ripen Pear, but he made no attempts at stealing anything else" Noric's mother accepted his offer.

Noric and his mother settled into their new home where she became a cleaner of the residence and assisted with all other choirs. Noric on the other hand started to study Lore, His interests grew over the years and at the age of 14 he convinced his adopted father "Mast NorthWind" to teach him in the ways of magic, Noric told him that he wanted to learn how to shape the weave.

At The Age of 17 Noric now with a full teenage beard and long Black hair, wanting to learn more about the weave had sneaked up into Mast Northwind's study area where he found a scroll that he did not understand, He could read some parts of the Arcane language inscribed on it but did not full understand it. Curious as he was he made several attempts to read and understand this scroll when he made a terrible error, The Spell went off with bright lights, he felt tingling from his fingers to his toes, His body grew large then small, and at times took on different properties, several moments later Noric was lying on the ground, his cloths were torn and as he reached around he closed his hands around clumps of hair that was once his. Noric Stood up and looked in the mirror, His hair now remained in spotty clumps and his beard now showed signs of graying. From this day forward Noric has cleanly shaven his head everyday and has gained an even deeper respect for the weave.

Noric spent many years under the apprenticeship of Mast NorthWind and became an exceptionally gifted mage. He became completely invested in researching, studying arcane magic and everywhere he traveled he would teach young mages who had the gift but no discipline to show respect for the weave and its power.

at the age of 29, after traveling much of the southern region of Faerun he returned home to find his house empty, his mother was gone and so was his step father, he searched his fathers chambers for some sort of answers. Noric found a book hidden away with his name inscribed on it. The book was was sealed and on the back side a symbol was a hand print , Staring at the hand print he placed his right hand over it and as his hand touched it he was engulfed in a aura of magical light.

*** Noric has limited recollection of his past, something happened to him the day he touched that book that seems to have wiped much of his memory (selective memory). Some memory has returned to him but many pieces are still missing.***

Goals:
To have his full memory returned, To continue developing his knowledge about the weave and teach the safe and responsible use of Arcane Magic.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:

Noric Believes that all schools of magic are just as important and that all school should be taught, practiced and researched. (this includes necromancy) He understand the evil nature of Necromatic spells but is quick to point out that any school of magic can be used for evil.

What he does not understand, Noric Will research.
