Written upon cave walls that edge the realm of separation between the svirfneblin tunnels and the regularly traveled caverns near Sshamath, a basic scrawl composed of both Gnome and the Espruar alphabet, pose the question of directions:

"Where lay a plant that opens itself to travel of great distance?"

Beneath the scrawl are a few symbols: a stone hut, a pair of legs over a set of vines, a set of mountains, and a single letter 'O' written in Druidic.

A set of step marks, in the earth around the area of the scrawled message, are in a typical pattern of repeated arriving and departing. No response has been yet left, it seems.

What is interesting, to those that notice such things, is that the set of step marks are in a pattern of eight.

A series of new characters...a pictogram of sorts...has now appeared next to the original scrawl.

Containing characters of Dethek origin, the message in images is clear to those that know Gnim as their heart language:

Where these tunnels end, is that where our people hold safe? Is there none of our race that has crossed to the land of the dark Tel-quessir...

A growing collection of Dethek symbols used in the Gnim language appear at this juncture between the known Svirfneblin tunnel system and the more well traveled caverns of the Underdark around Sshamath—the scrawl of a unique hand, looking for answers.

In this latest pictogram built of symbols, there is the symbol of a humanoid, then the symbol for plant, then slightly at a greater distance from the plant and of the opposite side from the first, an second symbol of a humanoid figure is placed, implying distance. The series is completed by the symbol for "Searching" placed under the symbol of the plant.

The most recent set of tracks show the pattern of eight points in the dust of the floor to be leaving the area.
