I was originally under the impression that Spell Focus raised your characters Spell DC in that specific school, making it harder for creatures to resist the spell. But i just read that it only raises your save DC against that specific school by 1. Maybe i am not understanding the description because taking Spell Focus Conjuration seem pointless if it only increases you characters save by 1. I mean considering Conjuration is good for summoning and all.
Can one of the experts help me understand this feat a little better.

Re: Spell Focus (help me understand)
The nwn2 wiki is a bit confusing but I am pretty sure that it raises the spell dc by 1 in that school.
Specifics: A character with this feat is adept in a certain school of magic, gaining a +1 bonus to spell save DC for all spells that they cast from that school.

It increases the DC of your saves by 1.
So if your fireball spell had a DC of 17 before you took the feat, it will now have one of 18.
There's a feat, requiring Spell Focus, called Arcane Defense, that will grant your character +2 save against all spells from that specific school.

Might be there the confusion derives from?

Re: Spell Focus (help me understand)
Spell DC (Difficulty Class) is calculated by the following equation:
10 + (Spell Level) + (Ability Modifier) + (1/3 Epic Caster Levels) + (Feat Bonuses) + (Miscellaneous Bonuses) = DC
Spell Focus increases the DC of your spells by 1 within that specific school. So, if we take the equation above on a level 10 caster throwing a Fireball with 20 INT:
10 + (3) + (5) + (0) + (0) + (0) = 18
If that same caster had Spell Focus: Evocation it would look like this:
10 + (3) + (5) + (0) + (1) + (0) = 19
That is all Spell Focus does and Spell Focus, Greater Spell Focus and Epic Spell Focus do NOT stack, the bonuses replace one another. (Epic Spell Focus only grants +3, not +6)
