Somewhere to grind alone.

Unread post by TheBearman »

I've been having trouble finding a place a level 19 bard/fighter can grind alone. I've tried ogres, but I tend to get owned my the Magi. Giant's are annoying because of the rock throwing. Minos give about 15 xp... Xvart's also give next to no xp.

I'm really freaking lost here...

Do you have Steadfast determination, and 18 fortitude?

If yes, then Basilisks. Those guys are wimps to someone who can stare into their eye.

How many bard levels? Mirror image, ghostly visage and other concealment spells work wonders against the boulders.

The crypt in the Fields of the Dead might be a good place.

Otherwise, I would try to brave the lizard cave in Amn.

Besides that, the hill giants really is the best way of getting XP at that level.

Trolls if you have access to acid or fire weapons.

Bugbears (might be a bit low XP on those).

Goblins between Soubar and Triel. Those are a bit scattered, though.

Trolls? I've seen them with up to 28 AB. Maybe a bit much for a level 19 ;)

I have well over 18 fort, but not steadfast. I'll try Basilisks hopefully it won't end in 4 greater issac's to the face. If that doesn't work I'll give the crypts a go.

Thanks guys!

Basilisks pertify you without steadfast, even with 50 fort. You roll 1's all the time vs their DC xD.

Phase Spiders and Treants at Western Cloakwood? Have you given those a try? (They spawn faster than the minotaurs. And those spiders teleport to you for your convenience.)

Could always get a party together, and then tackle some tough stuff...just an idea yea know. 2 or 3 people of decent level can take on the High Moors, Serpent hills, maybe even make a run for the balor....just and idea.

Don't... some people just like to separate grinding and roleplaying. He might be adding a ton of roleplaying when he's at FAI, Nashkel Tavern or wherever you do non-adventure RP these days.

But of course... he might just grind 100% of his online time. Who knows.
