And considering how Deacon likes to be as small as he can... how to not accidentally kill him by stepping on him?

Just keep looking at your feet. You will probably feel a badger gnawing at your ankles before you will even get the chance to step on Deacon.

About 3500gp per stack of 10 would be fair. Depends on how good a haggler you are in game I guess. :)
