Neutralize Poison

I've always been able to negate poison with a simple healing kit, on use it gives a DC and if beat, cures it.

I've tried using Neutralize Poison potions but I've never seem them work even though they should work 100% of the time. Is there something wrong with the code or am I drinking it at the wrong moment (even though a heal kit can cure it). Anyone who can attest to that the potions actually work..?

Doesn't neutralise poison only give +4 to your fort against poison? Or is it antidote?

Poison usually works this way:

There's an immediate effect, for instance giving you 1d6 strength damage

There's a secondary effect, 60 second later, for instance giving you 2d6 strength damage.

If you take a Neutralize poison within the 60 seconds, you shouldn't suffer the secondary effects, but the immediate effect won't be 'cured' - you'll still have lost the 1d6 strength.

If the Neutralize Poison potions don't halt the secondary effect, something is probably wrong with the coding :)

that's the antivenom, which gives you a +4 alchemical bonus to your saves against poisons. IF you ingest it before getting poisoned, that is.
