Various posters are placed around Nashkel and Beregost, and they soon find their way from there to the rest of the Coast.

"Know ye that the Coming Storm is upon us! Once again the wheel of the year turns half a round, and the spokes tell of the approaching winter. We shall announce the cold half of the year on the traditional night, and therefore summon all faithful of the lands to attend the ceremony. This is your final chance to appease the wrath of winter, lest she take both your crop and your children away come Deadwinter!

The Coming Storm will commence at the Aurilite temple, and from there spread throughout the lands. All adventurers and other travelers are invited to celebrate the annual festival, but be warned that there will be no tolerance for transgression or hostility."

The Aurilites unleash the most raging and thundering Storm of the year over the Cloud Peaks, the cold gusts chilling the town of Nashkel in an early frost, and the cold winds and thunderheads carrying as far as Beregost and the southern Sword Coast.

For good or for worse, the dark half of the year has begun. And from this day on, the sun will wane even further as the colder half of the year takes over, and with that the dominion of the Winter Queen . . .
