They are well-known for their furniture, and the polished white gleam that is often painted on their handcrafted pieces.
Preston was disciplined and trained like the rest of his family for generations past, spending hours upon hours of dedication to the craft of woodcrafting. However, his true calling has, and always been, the dogma of Tyr, fighting often as a child against the bullies in the town and protecting the weaker kids, and the pursuit for fairness and justice across the town.
As such, it was only natural that he, at the age of twelve, was taken in by a knight by the name of Ser Richard de Rossenfort, an old greybeard paladin that came into Preston's town, wandering and executing justice as a servant of Torm. Togeter, they left, with Preston acting as a squire for de Rossenfort, recording the events of the next ten years for future use. They traveled the lands, protecting towns, hunting orcs and goblins, fending off banditry, and acting often as judge and scribe in villages, scripting the trials and cases of the lesser known folk.
But after his twenty second birthday, de Rossenfort gave his young squire a pat on the shoulder, a kind smile, and a wave goodbye, for the time of the squire has gone, and now Preston has become a young paladin. Preston gave his old mentor a hug, and departed, vowing to see him again sometime soon, with Rossenfort mentioning that he would be retiring in Baulder's Gate.
Four years have passed, and Preston has continued the pursuit of Justice in his mentor's stead. But these four years have been long, and he has ached to see his old ailing friend, and as such, he departed for Baulder's Gate, to spread law and faith of Tyr, and to seek an end to any wickedness he may find.
Goals:
Meet de Rossenfort, before his old age makes him depart the land.
Protect and serve the laws of the land.
Enact justice upon those who would dare break the reign of good.
Find and raise a squire at some point.
Upkeep the dogma of Tyr.
