Day One
Much time was spent speaking with those who sought guidance. A lost soul led to her destination around the dangers of the Wild Hunt. A Storm Seeker given secrets to unlocking the balance between Man and Nature.
Teaching others of the dangers of the UnSeelie Court. More still learning of the history of the other druidic order, the Elder Circle. When asked why she was beginning this new druidic order the orcess smiled. "Oaths broken. There are Keepers of the Wild who are not well liked or respected by the Elder Circle. I have experienced too many times offering aid, being accepted for that aid, and then being refused aid even when I beg for it. There is no balance in that. There must be an order that does not follow Elven agendas. I will lead it."
Crowds gathered around the Druid of Grumbar as she laid out her plans for a new grove. Already Annabel "Annie" Gaebiels, druid of Lurue, has joined. Who will be next?

Day Two

The search begins for the best location for the Grove. So many places to choose from, so many variables to consider. Local bandits, sentients and politics are only the tip of the iceberg. Fae, the land's health, the security of the Sacred Tree. All must be considered.
During her search, Chief Kaltyra meets a ranger of Mielikki. After a long thoughtful discussion, the ranger accepts a Stone Key as a symbol of the Keepers' ownership and responsibility to the Land.
Welcome, Caelam Hawkeye.

Day Three
Battle is waged with many, brought to the doors of the Vault at Lake Wang. Brought to the Lich Bazu. Through the tears of a wronged mother and the pleading for natural order, the Lich was bested, giving up on his undead existence.
It seems that love remains a powerful healing force.
May the land rejoice, balance is restored!

Day Four
Advice is sought from a Grove Guardian on some of the best ways to care for the seeds of the Sacred Grove Tree that Kaltyra has protected since long before most of the Elder Circle's members were a part of it. The Guardian offers his support, and a few pranks along the way. Kaltyra does not allow being hin-sized bother her though, returning prank for prank with a bit of faerie fire.
After being asked for guidance on approaching the Unseelie Court fae in the Cloakwoods in hopes of stopping the Wild Hunt, the Keepers decide to come with Druid Ivan, assuming as protectors of the land they will be offered the same Pass as all other druids and rangers.
Instead, it is revealed only the Elder Circle and the Shadow Druids have free pass. They are made prey to the Hunt, given only the barest of mercies for "being worthy opponents" and their help in healing the Sharpteeth Woods. Ivan, being protected, is left to negotiate alone while Kaltyra, missing a "trophy tusk" carried Caelam's corpse to safety to be resurrected.
But this pain is not without revelation. For why would it be that the Shadow Druids, arguably the true cause of all the hunting in the woods, have free pass from the Wild Hunt?
Curiouser and Curiouser.

Day Five & Six
Meetings are held. Rallies made as membership grows and new potential recruits show interest. Discussions on the Wild Hunt are had. Talk of good potential Grove locations is had over roast squirrel or rabbit stew. Some additional locations are visited such as the island off Ulgoth's which even the grumpy Grubmarite must admit is a beautiful location.
NOTE: I am out of town from Oct 18-Oct 24. If any other Keepers want to make posts here in the interim feel free!

Week 5

The Keepers of the Wild go on a hike, both to acclimate members who are still new to the land and to check out a few final ideal locations for the Grove.

All of the locations are beautiful representations of nature's bounty...

Though each also has unique dangers...

The trek continues.

Finally after a long day's travel, the group makes camp, shares a meal and discusses what they've seen. One thing is for certain, this trip has revealed how versatile the personalities and inclinations of nature-followers can be. It also revealed how much like a family this group is.
What is decided?
That is for the Keepers to know.

Week 6
The Keepers of the Wild remain a busy and active part of the land, trying to do what they can to protect, repair and teach.
A clandestine meeting is had regarding the plague of Triel and Soubar. While traction is being made, still the root cause of the plague has yet to be found and stopped. Clues abound. Can they help to battle time itself as more and more die?
A nigh-eternal storm over Beregost bears investigation. It is revealed that a cult of Talos followers kidnapped a Lathandarite and when their demands were responded to with the death of their messenger the storms began. After many false starts finally the location of this cult is discovered, infiltrated and the cult demolished. The victory is bitter sweet both because the fires around the area seem to burn without end and because of...
... a strange note found on the body of the head cultist.
A necromancer's spirit possessing a friend's body is brought to a cleansing ritual after this final show-down.
The Keepers of the Wild attend the weekly Meeting of Nature's Faithful, sharing notes with all the local nature-friendly allies.
