How a wizard could kill the balor in the greypeaks
I'm still thinking about how could my level 30 wizard kill the Balor in the Greypeaks. I used to melee it down with my priest, but what about wizards?
He's immune to negative level and got crazy high saves, and hits like a truck.

I tried to kill balor sorcerer is difficult, but my FS does it without any problems. I think it's fair-king frost giants easy to kill if you are a mage balor easy to kill if you are priest

This may be true but I want suggestions about how to kill a balor with arcane spells.

Is it immune to bigby?
If not, bigby it and put acid clouds under it. Doubt it'll be enough, but hey.
Wizards can't kill things alone. Too few spells.

Can you still transition out mid-battle, re-buff, and then transition back in? I'm pretty sure testmon managed to kill the balor with this sly tactic, though the character in question was a sorcerer.
Though, that might have been back when it was 50% vulnerable to fire damage...

I have no idea if it's enough, but here's what I suggest:
- Vampiric Feast.
All the spells you can possibly find that doesn't have a save, mix them with Empowered and Maximized for spell levels that don't meet that requirement.
To name the ones I know off the top of my head
- Orb of [Insert Element] (comes in different varieties of power)
- Magic Missile
- Isaac's Missile Storm
- Polar Ray
- Ice Storm
- Vampiric Feast.

Re: How a wizard could kill the balor in the greypeaks
As for vampiric, you're right, it can help (it doesn't halves the hps of bosses though) but still I don't have that many spells to kill him after that. And I'm a cute elfy so I don't have vampiric.
The bigby + damage per round spell is a good idea. I remember when walls of fire used to damage him a lot.
It's not possible to rest and get back in again, since it requires a lot of time and there are no resting area near the boss.

I don't think you can kill it in one rest with a wizard, perhaps with archmage and extended wall of ice but that's all i can think of.
