*Written as if it was a record of some event and apparently in third person. In some areas are large equations detailing the percentages stated within. The words are obvious that the write sees themself in a high standing.*
Time: Late eve. Weather: Cloudy night. A low breeze blows against the window of Eli's inn room.
Status: Astounded.
Reason: Sources found and new pet acquired.
Explanation: Upon Eli's discovery of Kalytra, he was both thrilled and excited in a way that could not be described. At last, the source of the Black Orc knowledge he sought. But a cost was necessary, and like a good business man as he was, Eli secured a bargin for his knowledge. A letter to be written, and signed by a Lady Naraside. To the Dukes of Baldur's Gate it would go and deal with a unpleasant gnome by the name of Bently, who seemed intent on defying a writ of protection written by the duke's themselves.
Once this was agreed upon, an event with only a 1 in a 200,356,221 1/25ths chance occurred. A large slime, possibly gray slime in species but further testing was required, slurped its way along the road. There it saw a druid, that went by the name of Ivan, and proceeded to cuddle the druid.
The druid, reviled by the creature tried to request its immediate destruction, and many others agreed. Their primitive minds wishing for violence like a wild beast craves blood, then thought out educated course of action that did not end with a battle, injuries and the lost chance for a study of rare proportions.
Acting quickly, Eli immediately took control of the situation, his obvious intellect winning out over the barbarous desires of the others. With quick reflexes he soon tamed the creature which obeyed his every command in return for treats. With the creature tamed, and given a suitable name, Eli was quick to spirit it away from the blood thirsty mob of primitives.
Once more Eli showed his great love of life and gentle nature of peace, and saved an innocent, but very hungry, life from a deadly end. And no doubt several of those mindless savage's for a battle with such a creature would not have been easy.
Guiding the gentle giant along, Eli soon spirited the creature away to a welcome home within a cave off the cliff overlooking the sea. There Eli took it upon himself to train the creature, and discovered that it bore a semblance of intelligence. Hurrzah for Eli saw that he had saved a simple creature, but one of intelligence even if limited. And so Eli took it to give this creature knowledge and teach it ways to avoid the rabid mobs.
Though training was short for a time, before the creature slithered off to rest, Eli had learned not only to communicate with the creature, but had taught it to avoid eating certain things. Another victory for Eli as his destiny shines ever brighter.
