So I just started in the UD some days ago, and a guide or something like that for new Sshamath players would useful I think, so I made this post for newbies like my self to use. I would very much appreciate any advice from UD players, not only I can use it but also others. I do have some of my own advice.
Get a hold of + hit points gear.
Stack up on heal potions / kits.
Use the UD map on the forums, if you are lost or need to go somewhere.
Take your time, and be patient about getting to know the areas.
I got some advice my self when I started down there, I copy pasted it to help future UD newbies, like myself.
"Otherwise, you need to find the spire in the center of town and go up, once you enter into the next area take the northern tunnels to where the beetles are, make sure you look around for chests.
Tombs
Sewers
Varalla's passage
Maybe Mushroom Grove, but there are some spawns that will chew you up (and they run fast)
Potions are your friend at level 1"
Please write your own advice in this post if you have any.
Have a nice day!

Oh, and I noticed that you have to kill 11 escaped slaves not 10. Either it needs 11 or it doesn't count the first kill for instance.
The leader is always a kill apart...
The duergar give 150 and 200xp for the ore and the weapons respectively...
