Equine concerns in Beregost.

Unread post by finneas »

*An old, blind man man and longtime resident of Beregost stumbled across a collapsed horse in Beregost near the inn. As the man, known as Monty to some, yelled for help another came over to assist. The newcomer, Roarke by name stated that he did not know who owned the horse. Monty decided it best to notify the town council so that they could dispose of the beast before it attracted carrion and disease.

Roarke spoke up stating that he noticed a horse lying down at the stables earlier but thought nothing of it. Monty asked Roarke if he would be so kind as to lead him to the other animal and Roarke agreed. As it turned out there was not one but three other horses that appeared to be deceased in the stable yard. Neither Roarke nor Monty had sufficient knowledge of animal husbandry to make any determinations. Monty decided to trek north to see if anyone at the Friendly Arms might have more success.*

One of the stable lads tells he saw what he described as a red ghost who quickly appeared and disappeared. That's when the bugs came...out of no-where and chewed on anything living.
