Wizzelbert awoke with a start.. that blasted rooster felt like it was inside his very head!
He pulled a small blanket to his sharply-pointed beard and rubbed his weary eyes. Momentarily confused, struggling to regain his bearings, he sat up and looked around the warmly lit great hall built for folk near his size. The smell of cooking sausages and bacon combined with the fruity smell of the wine he still wore upon his tunic in a not-unpleasant manner. Wine. Ugh. The dimunitive fellow had had quite enough of THAT the night past. As he stretched his arms and let out a yawn he began to recall just what led him to his present location.
Having heard rumors that the traveling pub known as ‘The Crack’ was opened in the ruins-upon-the-hill, he had wandered from Baldur’s Gate to go visit. The ruins themselves were dangerous, and entering them alone was never something he had looked forward too.. but he’d hoped to see the one called Rik again, and perhaps see if old Ninky had found any bits and baubles for him to use in his ‘project’. Rik wasn’t there, unfortunately, and the pile of debris and junk nearby had been picked nearly clean since his last visit. It wasn’t a complete loss, however. He did enjoy the Golden Sands that Ninky served him, and he met a Hin fellow by the name of Loki Hairytoes.
Loki, it seemed, was from a village to the south that he’d heard tell of.. Gullykin. Several of the tall folk had suggested the place to him when discussing the possibility of finding buildings for rent. Wizzelbert was looking for a place for a workshop, he explained, and the tall folk just assumed that his small stature would ingratiate him with Gullykin’s people. Hin and Gnome, it seemed to him, were often confused by the tall folk. Until Loki, however, visiting Gullykin was best left for day dreams. Further from Baldur’s Gate than Wizzelbert had wished to travel alone, he hadn’t been able to find anyone to accompany him.
Loki was different. A powerful wizard by his own description, he was not only a native of the village but had aspirations of becoming mayor as well. He offered accompaniment and protection on a journey to the village, and Wizzelbert was quick to agree.
As he recalled the journey and the subsequent exploration, the wine, oh gods the wine, and his raucous evening Wizzelbert couldn’t help but smile. Standing up and doing his best to freshen himself, he set out at once to meet with the townfolk.. he would see just how amenable to a workshop they truly were, as well as learn more about the tower in the village and the ruined crypts nearby…

Re: Gullykin Role Play
Having not seen the one called Loki Hairytoes after his first encounter, ('The') Wizzelbert Cranksproket, the Lantanese gnome poking about the village in search of a location to rent, has left Gullykin. Having found no interested parties, he has migrated back to the more cosmopolitan areas near and around Baldur's Gate proper.

A campfire that had been a common sight on the hilltop outside Gullykin every night for the past three months failed to appear this night. The locals knew it belonged to one of their own, a Halfling whom had come to their community a week before the campfire was first spotted.

Re: Gullykin Role Play
A celebration seems to have taken place near Gullykin.
Baskets of food were spread on the floor and an elf in green kept the glasses and mugs full of wine and water. There seems to have been an incident with a boar, and at least one person left the dinner with their clothes turned to red.
Offerings were left at the altar of Yondalla. The elf seemed very, very happy.
