Not much is known about your history, and you are a closed book to even those who live in your home village.

I enjoy the delicate brush of mystery, just enough to tease the senses but not enough to spoil the ending.
The oblique references told in a narrative style, as if it's your own character reading her own biography which adds a dab of humour.
You've condensed it notably, but the concise manner in which you write is quite appealing.
All in all, well written

Can I suggest an amendment?
"A warrior from a faraway land. She seeks revenge on the orcs who killed her family."

That would completely ruin the style in which this is written!
I suggest and amendment to your amendment!
"An individual of unknown profession from a faraway or closeaway land. You seek to repay the unspecified race of savages who killed other individuals who may or may not have shared the same lineage as you."
... I just ruined the writing style by making it too long, didn't I? >.>

Well that's of course more a description rather than a background story, but sure!
Very Spartanic and reader friendly, it suggests a healthy individual with an open minded attitude and easygoing.
The simplistic nature of the description is both abstract and metaphysical... while also a little endearing. Though it's very fashionable these days it's seen too often to be recommended, it's a bit like going to a theatre performance only to realise half the crowd came in the same outfit.

I like the one I've read recently :
"There is nothing special about this object"
Can't remember who the player was, but it made me laugh !
