Brennan was born in 1322 in Dagger Falls within Daggerdale, and was raised by his parents, Haskorn and Emilia Aldunn, both acolytes of the local temple, 'Lathander's Light'.

It was a tumultuous time in the area, the temple kept busy with refugees resultant of Teshendale falling at the hands of the Zhents a few years prior to his birth. Much of his early childhood was happy, however, and he has many fond memories of those days of peace. His uncle, an aged minstrel named Hesketh, would often visit during his travels about the Dales.

All of that changed when Brennan was 14, as the Zhents struck Dagger Falls and scattered most of the local populace (1336). His father died in the melee that followed and he and his mother were forced to flee. They journeyed to Harrowdale, where his uncle had recently settled, and lived there with him for a time, at the lighthouse he kept.

Brennan grew up quickly from that point forward. Determined to strike back at the Zhents for the death of his father, he began training immediately. Worried that her son would die in any premature attempt at vengeance, his mother sent him to the quiet village of Feather Falls within Featherdale, to serve as an acolyte at the House of Morning under high priest Jaalien Horgavinter.

The chaos in the Dalelands continued with the fall of Yulash in 1337 and the usurping of Aumry, Lord of Shadowdale, in 1339. These events helped shape Brennan's personality and hatred for the Black Network.

In 1340 that chaos again hit home for Brennan. In a failed attempt by the Cult of the Dragon to take over Featherdale, war between that cell and the Sembian military destroyed much of his new home. "The Battle of the River Rising" as it came to be known, was most famous for the loss of the reknowned mage Mhzentul, as he became a pillar of living flame and turned the battle for the Dale. Brennan himself was forced to defend the Temple and did so admirably.

Over the next 7 years, from the ages of 18-25, Brennan continued to grow in faith and prowess. So much so that he was allowed to leave the temple and work actively with members of the Order of the Aster. Allowed to attach himself to resistance elements in Shadowdale, he was there for the fall of Jyordhan. He was also attached to Randal Morn of Daggerdale for a time, fighting in his childhood home, seeing the successful reclamation of much of the Dale. Brennan saw several season of war before returning to the solitude of Feather Falls. Through that experience his faith transformed that urge toward vengeance to embrace a new dawn, a new beginning of solace, and he left professional soldiering, thankful for the experience.

Upon his return Brennan was granted the position of Dawnspeaker, and acted as the liason between his temple and the faithful of the region. A strong, confident, and convincing speaker, his proselytizing had won him many converts.

As a part of this success he had been sent to Waterdeep in a pilgrimage to the Spires of Morning, however before he had reached the edge of the Dale a rider had caught him. His trip had changed, it seemed. A local Temple in Beregost had been through hard times of late, and he was being sent there to assist them as necessary...
Goals: Serve Lathander, Serve the Church, and live his dogma as best he may. Aid the Song of Morning. Aid in the rebirth and renewal of all people and areas of this region.
