Description:
Varra stands petite for a human, but with confidence. Her appearance is immaculate, eyebrows tweezed to perfection, her brown hair fashioned back into a bun stylishly. An air of nobility can be noted from her mannerisms and soft speech. Her yellow and red robes are finely crafted. They appear priest in nature but take inspiration of formal dress. The black trimmings of her robes are embroidered gold, if inspected closely they appear to depict a story. They are tailored to fit snuggly and far more extravagant than what you would expect from a simple priest. One’s eye may get caught by sunlight glimmering off of her palm-sized golden buckle which connects her tabard to her belt, it depicts a Pegasus flying out from a radiant sun. Outside of winter and the temple she is often found out of monastic garb and in bright sun dresses, her noble presence faded in such for a more youthful appearance.

Description:
Though there is an air of nobility about her she rarely holds a pompous demeanor, and welcomes most with a warm smile. Her formal manner quickly fades upon becoming acquainted. After then she is quick to a laugh, seeing a silver lining even in some of the darkest moments. She enjoys giving Cecilia a hard time one some aspects, whenever the thought of her safety arises she can be over motherly at times. While younger she used to love balls, formal dance, but since being forced from visiting Cecilia she has not been to one. She loves music and song, though her singing voice is very rusty at the moment. After a few meads have passed through her lips she has been known to become boisterous. At times she can be fussy, a perfectionist at heart.

Background:
The Lafayette family had good relations with the Morningmist hall through some private matters, as such they were very generous to the temple. As a measure of good faith Varra after her fourteenth birthday was offered to the house as a lady-in-waiting for the young Aasimiar Cecilia. Varra was pensive of thought at first, not wishing to babysit a spoilt noble. Varra quickly learned to take her patience with the young girl on more tedious subjects. They would often take breaks to sing, draw, and write poetry, all subjects they both shared a passion for. Varra would spend six days a tenday at the Lafayette residence, spending the other four at the temple continuing her own studies. Varra quickly grew fond of the young girl, they grew to become close friends.
Though Varra is usually considered luck in most things, one thing she did not hold any luck for was her love life. It was riddled with many crashes and burns, often ending up with Varra rushing to Cecilia’s shoulder to cry upon. Her only relationship which showed promise of flourishing was cut bitterly short as Alistair, Cecilia’s elder brother was sent away to war in the early beginnings of his relationship with Varra. He did not return from the war alive.
The pair were both utterly shattered by his passing, they mourned his passing together, drawing on each other for strength. Varra blinded by her grief did not recognize the life Cecilia was being forced into a life she did not desire till much later in her life. After a dispute with Lord Lafayette Varra was barred from visiting Cecilia again.
Years passed, Varra’s anger built into frustration that she was unable to help Cecilia. Their only form of communication were sendings. Varra would often each night recite a short poem or message to her best friend in hopes it might bring some light to the despairing Cecilia.
And now a few months passing since Cecilia’s escape Varra makes her way to the sword coast under the guise she is travelling to help the people of Triel. Though her desires to help such people is not false, her true intentions are to see how her little angel is faring on the sword coast.

Goals:
- To be reunited with her sister by heart, Cecilia.
- To help guide her into womanhood, be by her side through troubles and strife, above all things to see Cecilia be happy.
- To not allow history to repeat itself.
- To one day help Cecilia confront her past.
- To help restore Triel, spread words of hope, joy.
- To put her training within the Morningmist hall to use, helping the less fortunate.
- To make her mark on the world, prove her independence from the Morningmist Hall.
- To perform as NightShade in Bandit’s play.
- To hold a more active role with the Song of the Morning hall.
- To one day win a WMT open night, but more importantly get Cecilia up on that stage with her in something other than metal!
- To finally meet this Eldarain chap she’s been hearing all about.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
Cecilia’s suitor suspected Varra’s involvement in her escape. He has yet to find evidence of it though, but it is very possible that he has informants following Varra’s trail to the coast. Varra attempted to ensure no one was following her, but anyone with connections in the Morningmist hall will know of her whereabouts.

Despite always being one to spread words of hope and joy, always a silver lining, Varra has become a bit pessimistic about love.
