There are rumours that a monk, from the order of the balanced hand had come 4th in a tournament held at the Broken Goblet in the Roaringshore (((In the non-magical bracket)))

A missive it sent out by way of words to those that form the Order, or support it as a friend. The Balanced Hand has learned that a Quest was offered to all that would seek returning balance to areas that suffer under a negative energy, and thus remain unbalanced. If chaos does rule over these lands, then it is the calling of the Order to determine if discipline and law may be returned…and with it, new signs of the growth of green life.

The Order and all its colleagues are called to appear at the outdoor amphitheater where lessons in controlling the Breath have been given, in the past. The date is given to be the 4th day of The Fading.

And it was so that the Order of the Balanced Hand, accompanied by new colleagues, friends of the earth beneath their feet, strong in discipline and duty, embarked upon a journey north from Baldur's Gate to the known region of the Fields of the Dead. There, they were joined by others, for a time, and through a sharing of knowledge and sense of purpose, were able to determine that 2 places of evil brought forth a negative power that held the lands therein in imbalance.

In this first part of the journey taken, the Order plus colleagues of the path of discipline and honor made way to a known catacomb with a portal that must….well, it was unknown how and why it existed, but could only serve to upset the balance that is needed so that chaos does not reign supreme within this land, any land.

A mystery barely even half solved, but onward it will continue until the desired result is accomplished.

What once was asleep has now awoken.

The 'Order' grows stronger.

The one known as Nemesio of the Silverpalm, Gur mystic of the Order of the Balanceed Hand, was guided by Elah to the southern, mountainous realm. There, he was chased from the snowy mountain top by giants of the frost, forcing him to find warmer and lower canyons in which to rest his traveling legs. On this path shown to him by following Elah's light, he came upon another, more wayward traveller…a woman that possessed a fighting technique seen rarely but truly for those that have mastered the Breath. Her name was Jax, and she too had traveled the highway as Nemesio had done for many years, before following Elah's guidance to the Sword Coast, where he joined with others to promote discipline and honor, and especially, to reduce chaos, bring it into Balance, so that there can be peace upon the land.
Nemesio spoke to Jax of all these meaningful things that defined the Order that he belonged to, the Order of the Balanced Hand, an Order filled with wisdom and strength from that wisdom, to understand that without darkness there cannot be light, and that light shall warm darkness when it becomes too cold. The dialogue between the two was natural, and the two found immediate respect through words spoken, and interests pledged.

Jax spoke to Nemesio about his travels, and Nemesio spoke of how it was his time to return to his people, the Gur of Baldur's Gate, as soon as the path north became safe to travel, once again, through the lands of the giants of frost. Jax offered to support Nemesio in soothing over the chaos the giants brought to that road, that part of the greater highway…and the two took a pledge to remove the main proponent of such chaos: he that would be the leader of the giants of frost, himself.

Strenght of spirit and wisdom was with the two, as they fought their way to the King of Giants, eventually to bring him down from his throne. It would be a tentative time without chaos ruling over the land…only lasting for as long as it would last.
Later, as the two traveled down the mountain towards the fortified gates of Nashkel, where they could take shelter behind the safety of guarded walls, Nemesio offered to Jax to join him someday in the Gate, so that Jax my learn from the brothers and sisters of the Order, about companionship and the power therein. And one day soon, the wayward traveler Jax would find a more permanent home amongst the like-minded, in Breath and spirit.

Some days later, Nemesio contacts the Order through messenger, to tell them that if they would meet this Jax upon the highway, to give her a sign and a welcomed greeting, that they may convince her to walk amongst the Balanced Hand, as a true disciple.

And it was so that 2 of the monks that pledged themselves to the Order as well as to the Quest offered by the Faithful of Mielikki, continued an attempt to find the source of chaos that had caused such imbalance within the lands called the Fields of the Dead.

Vor Blockdelver finally discerns who Robin actually is and approaches him to discuss how the Order of The Balanced Hand could assist The Faithful of Melikiki with their quest to thwart the undead blight.

Robin said that members of The Order of The Balanced Hand should attend The Meeting of The Faithful in two days time.

Two disciples of the Order of the Balanced Hand found their path leading to the mountains, a perch on high, where maybe one day, wisdom may come closer to the heavens, even reach it in manifestation…:
The brothers that represent the wisdom of light, in the day and of the night, pure golden and smoothly silver, followed as they were guided along a path to a cave of crystal. A place known to Nemesio once before, but of a danger, a chaos, that could not be put into balance by just one:
There was but one illuminated path, and they did not question it:
As it was discovered, this place called them to it by an ancient wisdom, long buried and now…that wisdom at the mercy of beings that yearn to destroy life, instead of be natural in it, with peace, equally part light and darkness. The sarcophagus lay bare, marks plain to see that it had been plundered some time in the recent past…and by whom and where had this ancient wisdom been stolen? That was the question left to the brothers of the Order…:

Vor Blockdelver meets with the "Faithful" and presents the Order of the Balanced Hand's offer to assist the Faithful in thwarting the undead scourge in the fields and Triel.


Vor presenting the findings of the Balanced Hand's investigation into the Fields of The Dead . he explained that the Order believes that the portal in the crypts and the crystals from the tower might be working conjunction to somehow trap spirit energy in a wide area. He also requested that the Faithful assist with further investigation of the portal and crystals with those with deific and or arcane powers be present to confirm or deny the Orders theory.
