Stone Giant Chest Key

Does this actually go to something? Or am I correct in assuming its broken?

It goes to the chests right behind the boss you kill at the end.

Two to the right, one on the left. The right two can be bashed as normal. The left one doesn't unlock without a rogue.

Next time use the key before bashing the chests open

Didn't work. Pretty sure this key is broken, useless, or I'm missing something.
