Role playing an Air Gensai

So I'd like to make a character who is an Air Gensai. I'll be honest too, It's because I like one of the hair styles. Hair is everything to the son of a barber. But seriously, I know almost nothing about the race. How does an Air Gensai act? Are they Diverse like a human can be or do they have some underlining characteristic? I really know only what the character creation screen tells me, and I don't gather much from it.
In short, help. Please. I don't want to embarrass myself by doing stuff wrong. I'll read whatever links you give me or whatever you post.

Genasi all differ from each other and have these little quirks that can be interesting to RP... This Forgotten Realms Wiki page is fairly accurate & not very influenced by 4.0 and a good starting point. Keep in mind that the Spellplauge and Time of Troubles (ToT) have not yet happened in our timeline.

If you want a source book, Races of Faerûn is most detailed.
In short, air genasi can be just as diverse as humans. I would say that a lot depends on upbringing, were they raised by air genasi parents or did their heritage jump a few generations so they were raised by human parents or something else...? Country/city of origin; they are likely have found more acceptance in larger cities than in a small village.
