The following background is a summary of Ted's Life and the more prominent figures of his lifestory, as told by him. Though a good chunk of listeners doubt the validity
of his story, Ted swears that it is all true...

Ted Thairo was born in a poor rural farmland somewhere east of Neverwinter in an unknown, tiny and insignificant hamlet named by the three families residing there as "TunaTown,"
apparently named after it's leader, Elder Linden Tuna, though some claimed a nearby brook was also an excellent source of fish.
Born with a strange and mysterious knack for magic, as well as shockingly good looks,
Ted studied and observed old tomes the hamlet elder had somehow collected, and learnt its secrets on his own.
Realizing their son had somehow learnt the secrets of the arcane, the Thairo clan saw Ted as an
opportunity to make it big in their tiny rural world. As a kid his family often tried to sell out Ted to other farmers and rustics by promising them "divine" advice. In truth,
Ted was never very in touch with any deity, but rather drew his magic through his own arcane understanding and dazzled and often fooled many of the half-wit farmers in the area.

Finding life to be to dull and boring, Ted eventually started to practice more with his magic to the point where it frightened his family. He would conjure up
weasels, or send strange missles flying off through the air, or try lighting trees on fire with his arcane skill. One day Ted unintentionally
burnt down Tunatown's largest barn. The three elders, each the head of their unknown little hamlet decided he was far too dangerous. They convinced Elder Thairo that Ted
was a hell-spawn brought up by Beshaba and that he would be cursed should Ted remain in Tunatown.

At first, Elder Thairo was reluctant to give up his son, for his arcane skill had indeed increased the clan's financial position, but fearing Beshaba and respecting the other
elder's wisdom, he decided to tell his son to leave as soon as possible. One night, while the clans burned alcohol together on the ground and raised antlers high in the sky
to show Beshaba that they were honouring her, to keep the accidents and misfortune out of their little universe, Elder Thairo told Ted it was time to leave. At first, Ted was
very upset and tried to force his way back into his home, but seeing that the entire clan was convinced that his little experiments would soon bring their imminent downfall,
Ted in the end decided to leave.

It wasn't long before, on his 17th birthday, that Ted, somewhere deep in his exile, stumbled across a cavern in the wilderness and found a female Earth Genie named Maleftorrana living within it.
Having been apparently lonely for such a long time, the Earth Genie decided to let Ted stay. They talked, conversed, shared magical knowledge with each other.. and eventually
became lovers. . . thus resulting in Ted's first son, Lotrik.

They lived a peaceful life together in the wilds, but Beshaba fearing Ted would sometimes miss having some form of civilization. He longed to go and visit Neverwinter, for he
had heard from the Genie many mystical and wondrous things about civilization, and it was from there he desired to go and enhance his magical skills more.

However, his thirst to learn more magic was suddenly quenched . . for one night whilst he slept in the back of the cavern, a team of Dreugar who had dug a mine from
somewhere from the depths of the underdark caused the cavern's floor to collapse, and Ted fell deep within the void. It was here that he was separated from both his lover and
Lotrik . . and where he'd spend the next six years as a slave to a drow priestess that bought him into slavery. He suffered and was tortured immensely. Luckily, his charismatic
and fear for the Dark elves somehow managed to save him, and eventually he was brutally forced into certain situations by one particular Drow Matron. . . One of the many results
being that his second son, Arnas the Half-Drow was born.

After six years, something miraculous happened. A teleporation spell gone wrong by one of the Drow Matron's wizard ended up launching Ted back to the surface. He was being
whipped by one of the Drow priestesses when a flash of light engulfed him and he woke up, naked and completely disoriented. And wouldn't luck have it, he woke up in Neverwinter.
Having no gear, gold, or resources, save his magical skills, Ted begged for a few months until he earned enough and learned enough of Neverwinter to satisfy his interests for awhile.
Eventually, he made his way back into the wilderness where he had first met the Earth Genie Maleftorrana but found the old location of her cavern sunken in and destroyed.
Fearing that the worst had indeed fell upon his little family, he left the cavern.

Somehow, however, he found Lotrik. Wherever Maleftorrana had gone, he was not sure, but whilst he was returning to Neverwinter, he came across a beautiful woodland elf,
who had been apparently fostering Lotrik the entire time. After explaining how she came into contact with Lotrik and upholding the dying wishes of Maleftorrana, Lotrik
determined that this indeed was his lost son. The woodelf, known simply as Elan'dre, agreed that Ted should live together with Lotrik. Somehow during their time together, Elan'dre
and Ted become ever-so-close, and eventually Ted's third child was born.

Though they lived and existed in the nearby farm areas (and rather close to Ted's original hamlet, Tunatown), Ted would often get tired of living in the wilderness, and with
Elan'dres permission head off into Neverwinter to gawk and wonder at civilization. Little did Elan'dre know, a lot of business happened within Neverwinter and a lot of it,
for many years, never reached her elven ears. This business included many things such as the study of magic, trade with both locals and foreigners, as well as the
ever so often stop in at taverns. Eventually, Ted was able to buy up his own little apartment, and did this all in secret...away from Lotrik and Elan'dre.

Other parts of "business" also yielded more children for Ted, yet this was unbeknownst to Elan'dre, and Ted has kept most of it secret, even from the majority of his sons.

Ted developed a secret relationship with a woman known as Shirley, whom gave birth to Bob, Ted's first fully human son, and his favorite son to boot. Bob was properly
educated, well mannered, and brought up respectfully, and even learned about magic. This truly impressed Ted.

Shirley also gave birth to Ted's next and fifth son, Gristle. Gristle was somewhat renegade and eventually made his way as a caravan guard,
and was exceptionally well trained in the use of a crossbow.

Being a mere mortal, Ted was also at a point in time tempted into the seductive magics and methods of a Succubus named Forraliz, who through her fiendish ways,
had sneaked into Neverwinter, remained hidden, and played and toyed with Ted for at least over a little bit of one year.
Ted went missing one day, which worried both Shirley and Elan'dre. Shirley eventually requested the help of the church of Tyr. The Tyyran Clerics
discovered the whereabouts and hidden world the Succubus had dispatched her. However, before this Succubus was slain, she had given birth to a male half-fiend, described
to Ted as a Cambion. The encounter with the Succubus had lost the child, and it was supposedly left without a name and lost somewhere in the streets of Neverwinter.
In truth, the Cambion child was eventually found and fostered by a group of mobile brigands highwaymen. They called their new half-fiend brother Kalam.

Shirley had saved Ted, but during the whole process, Elan'dre had come to Neverwinter and discovered Ted's association with Shirley. She became distraught and distrustful
of Ted, and she left Ted forever with a broken heart, planning to take both Elan and Lotrik with her. However, Lotrik for some reason, being the eldest son and thus
wisest of them all decided to stay behind. He had become interested with neverwinter and enlisted with the militia there, learning from a female guard captain,
with the oddly male-given name "Wallace". This upset Ted greatly, for he wished all his sons to partake in the art of arcane magic or at least tolerate learning
a little about it, if they could. Ted also saw Wallace as an upstart and coarse woman fighter, whom taught Lotrik all sorts of rude words and slander. How one of his
sons could become so rude and vile under the tutoring of a woman upset Ted greatly.

Since the loss of his first lover, Maleftorrana, whom Ted missed the most, up until his run in with the fiendish Succubus, Ted's world had changed drastically. He
had become disturbed and suffered from some mental issues, and for some years stayed inactive, staying under Shirley's care. Being fair and understanding, despite what
Shirley found out about Ted, she allowed peace and forgiveness instead of punishment to flourish.

Eventually Ted recovered and went back to his merchant work under the fair judgement of Tyrran standards of trade within Neverwinter. Trade for him and his grew, and
he was becoming both mentally and finanically stable. HIs relationship with Shirley, however, had strained. He started getting tired of her and often fought to the point
where one of the two walked out on the other. Still, Shirley loved Ted dearly, and trusted he would stay loyal despite all the fighting.

One day, however, whilst drinking in the tavern with a group of friends, Ted noticed a strange, older, yet alluring woman. Being his natural and charismatic self, and now
having tons of tales to tell about his life up until this point, he bought her a drink and engaged with her in conversation. The woman was a bard, who had long travelled the road,
and being tired of life on the road, she wanted to settle down somewhere. Her name was Lucre. She was very interested in Ted's interesting life and stories, though
she never admitted to actually believing any of them openly.

In reality, Lucre only ever admired the fact that a rich merchant was giving her so much attention.

Feeling obliged to help her buy a small house within Neverwinter, Ted assisted her financially, and somehow
also found time to visit her frequently. What resulted in many visits later, Lucre eventually also gave birth to Ted's seventh child, a boy the name of Zaylo, which
rhymed with Thairo. Lucre obviously intended the play on words, being the bard she was. She taught her son all about music.

News of all this eventually reached Shirley, however. She was furious, thinking to have trusted and loved Ted, only to be betrayed by this woman named Lucre. But she loved
Ted so dearly that she couldn't bear to do anything about it, and thus, one night, whilst Ted was away, probably with Lucre, Shirley up and packed up her gear, leaving both her
sons, whom would eventually look all too much and remind her of Ted, vanished from Neverwinter. She was never heard from again.

All of her property, now being vacant, was claimed by Ted. Ted was not sure where Shirley had run off too, but deep in his heart he was glad. Finally he could get along with
Lucre just fine, and nobody could stop him. That was until one of his merchant friends known as Cyranule the IIIrd pointed out what many others also pondered... Lucre was older than Ted
and eventually she'd lose her good looks and appeal. And many of Ted's friends also saw what Ted did not see: That Lucre was just using Ted for his money and a way to retire
happily and wealthy.

Sometime after Zaylo was born, another horrible event took place. Ted was travelling through Neverwinter Wood with Lotrik to visit Tunatown. The two had not been in the
area for quite sometime so did not realize that a good chunk of the forest had been claimed by a band of orcs. Somehow Ted was captured. Lotrik escaped to warn the rest of
the NEverwinter Militia, but not before certain orcs had their way with Ted. By the time the Neverwinter Militia and Tyrran Paladins arrived to deal with the orcs, it was too late.
The orcs had left and moved on somewhere to the North.

During the next year, Ted was baddly beaten and once again in his life tortured. Though the torture itself wasn't as intense as what he had experienced with the Drow, it still
scarred him for the rest of his life. Some of the female Orcs in the groups got rather rough with him at times. He wasn't sure who was the mother, but at some point
an orc female produced a half-orc which with his humanish qualities was indeed half of Ted. The Half-orc was named Apsalar.

After that dreadful year passed, a group of druids residing in Northern Neverwinter woods confronted the orcs and nearly destroyed them. They rescued Ted, but Apsalar and his
mother escaped their fate. Ted never persued the child or the woman, feeling too embarassed and shameful to have allowed such a bonding to happen.

Greatful to his saviours, Ted resolved to live with the druids for awhile, interested in their ways of life. He had heard many stories of druids before, though had somehow
whilst living in the wilderness never actually happened upon such a large group. He rewarded them with his arcane knowledge, stories, and ended up flirting a little too much with one
of the druids in the group, and not having been in good company for a time, he and a female Elvish druid know simply as Nind got rather close. He eventually left the circle
of druids, heading back to Neverwinter, and sometime later, Ted learned that the elf gave birth to a half-elven son, whom they named Nindurr. Nindurr was allowed to visit Ted
every so often at the edge of Neverwinter city, and later earned the name Goretooth, for it was said he ran with bears and ate like one as well, hence the nickname.

Ted returned to Neverwinter, seeing that his love Lucre had left him. She took a good portion of his wealth, and even forsook Zaylo, who was currently in the care of Bob and
Gristle who still lived in their deceased mothers house. Apparently, Shirley had become the victim of some sort of dispute in Amn over the illegal use of magic.

Ted regained his composure and settled back into his home in Neverwinter. He once again had to accumulate wealth and power, but by this time, Ted was much older than he had
been before. Wiser (only a little), and much more potent with his magic, Ted decided to change gears and open up an exotic shop, where he sold trinkets and merchandise from
lands as far away as Thay and some of those even beyond. The business was not as successful as previous endeavors but it allowed him to make enough money.

Sometime whilst working with his newly found trade and passion, he came across a strange looking pot, with a lid that seemed to be sealed shut magically over it. Using his
arcane knowledge, Ted was able to blast open the lid of the pot. Little did Ted know, a genie had been living within what was actually an Urn. The Genie promised Ted to grant
him one wish if Ted released her. It could be anything that he wanted. Seeing that the genie was not bluffing but also seeing that the genie, Female, made of fire, and also very exotic looking
caused Ted to become very curious... and Ted only wished for one thing. He had never kissed a Fire Genie before, and was worried she would burn. But it seemed whilst
the Genie granted him his wish, things got a little too hot . . resulting later on in another child being born. The fire genie didn't stay long, having been held up in that
urn for such a long time, and she eventually vanished. She wanted to travel the world again, and be free, but did not want the responsibility of raising her own child.
And thus, the fire genie left, never leaving her name behind. Ted named the offspring child Snickers, a name said to have been created under the influence of too much
alcohol. Ted left Snickers in the general care of maidservants and Lotrik, feeling that both being made of half elementals, that they'd get along. Snickers thus also
became a warrior, and another one of Ted's less favorite sons.

The next few years... life was rather uneventful for Ted. He eventually charmed and captivated a woman ten years younger than him to become his newest lover. Out of all
the women he had known it was this one, named Chass that he would decide to finally settle down with and live a much more stable life. Chass gave birth to two twins, brothers,
whom were named Gallemore and Patricklus. Gallemore eventually would train with the church of Tyr, aiming to become a Paladin of the faith, while Patricklus continued his
fathers business when Ted decided it was time to retire.

His, last and final son was named Amer, also the son of Chass. Amer was always a rebel and a wild child. He would run off to the Neverwinter docks when he was younger
and talk with traders and supposedly discussed illegal trade with pirates. Out of all the sons, Amer was his least favorite. At one point, Amer got involved with a dangerous
Pirate known as Huey Newltoone, who was infamous for accidentaly or sometimes purposely wounding or killing his own shipmates during pirate raids. Amer sailed off with
Huey, and this angered Ted to a great measure. Amer is the least loved son of the entire lot, and Ted has only recently learned that Amer has been seen working in clandestine and
illegal trade within the Swordcoast.

Unfortunately, Chass passed away one night. The clerics of Tyr could only describe her passing through natural causes. By this time, Ted was 59 years of age and had lived
the longest he had ever had in the same dreary neverwinter house. His family business was completely controlled by Patricklus, while his other sons were all engaging in some
form of adventure, work, or other job all throughout western Faeurn. Feeling a huge sense of boredom and wanderlust creep into his aging veins, the still dashing and handsomeTed Thairo told his
second youngest son that he was going to head south and find where the majority of his sons had gone, thus leaving Patricklus in charge of his exotic goods store.

Ted sold his house, and made his way to Baldurs Gate, his last and final lover, and take part in grand adventure.
.

Goals:
To find each and every one of his currently located sons a proper wife or partner before he passes, and change them into something Ted views as respectful and worthwhile.
To find a proper wife and have his final, fourteenth son before he dies. He feels thirteen is an odd, unlucky number, and fearing Beshaba's sick sense of
humour, he wants to have his final and fourteenth son before he rests in peace.

Possible Plot-Hook Ideas and Misc Facts:
He thinks melee and martial skills are a waste of time.
He has a pet weasel.
He fears and worships Beshaba in order to avoid her unluck and misfortune. . .
Ted is actually, not very wise.

He has thirteen sons. In age from eldest to youngest, they are...
