Yeah so i'm considerin' 8 assassin/3 rogue/ 5 warrior of darkness/14 fighter with the goal of wearing medium full plate and retaining decent hips.

Any tips or insights would be most appreciated.

Unless Ive missed something it works, a fair bit detrimental on Hide and MS check but it works.

If mithral arent supposed to work I am sure he can find a suitable drow full plate or other materiel that allow it. ;)

I'd probably go for a Scimitar / Falchion wielding Fighter 18 / WoD 4 / Weapon Master 5 / Shadowdancer 3.

It works until the next sneak check, which isn't very long around Elves. It makes landing Death Attack very problematic.

Why im investing heavily in Feint, but them elves are good at countering that too.

I know DA is a bit buggy, so it might work (and arguably be an exploit), but it ought not to work with Feint. You are still a known threat, despite the misdirection, and DA is only supposed to work if you're unseen or not recognised as a threat.

It will add SA regardless, just won't have Fort check.

Yes, but losing the paralysis takes all the fun out of being an Assassin!

Assassins are worthless on BGTSCC anyway. Murdered PC's investigate their own murder scenes now. Absurd as it sounds, they wait 24 hours, then go on to find their killer. If even a permastrike came of it, roleplaying an assassin might still work. But current server rules effectively (though not explicitly) disallow playing an assassination.

Regardless of the degree of cooperation needed on both sides for something like PvP assassinations, I fully expect assassins to assassinate a lot of NPCs. Since NPCs are a key aspect of the PW and the DM plots, I'd say assassins have a very important place on the server.

Otherwise, it's like saying being a warrior is useless, because everyone can always take the RP PvP Out and there will never be a fight...?

No, you are not allowed to assassinate NPC's either. That would require a module change to remove the NPC(s). This is the rules as explained to me by a DM, and is no way confrontational. If and of this seems disconcerting, however, that is certainly your viewpoint.

As if that has never happened

You can refute the veracity of roleplay experience claims, but not the state of current server policy.

To clarify, "Assassins are worthless," is just a description of their current value. It is not an insult. Assassins cannot assassinate. Therefore they lack value, worth.

Suggest you roleplay a role other than assassin. If you just want it for a build, that's fine. Unfortunately, pursuing a career of it will yield disappointment. Please consider this in the direction you take the RCR.
