Qualifying feats on the same level

If you have a level where you can take two feats, can you use one of those as a feat to qualify for the second?

For example: At level 29, I get two feats on my favored soul build. Can I take a great charisma for my first feat to bring my CHA to 25, then take Epic divine might as my second feat?

Thank you for your responses.

Yes, but you have to keep in mind that bonus feat selections from classes come before the regular feats. I don't know if it matters for the purposes of Epic Divine Might, but if you're trying to take Overwhelming Critical (23 Str req), and you need to take one Great Strength to qualify, then you won't be able to get both on the same level, even though you have a bonus feat from a class, since the Great Attribute feats are not available on class bonus feats*, which come first.

*: This is only a problem for non-pure builds, as any base class with 20 or more levels get to choose Great Attribute feats on their class bonus feats levels.

I just tested it in JEGS (probably what I should have done first) and found out that my proposal does not work. I think it is because the great charisma feat isn't taken into account during the leveling up process, so the game sees your CHA as 20 instead of 21 even though you just took the great CHA feat.

Epic Divine Might also require 21 Strength, not just 21 Charisma.

It does and I had 21 str. I did it twice, once while taking great CHA+3 on the level where I wanted to take EDM and once where I took it before. It only let me take the feat when I took it at an earlier level.

That's a bug then and should be reported to the staff.

Good point. Hadn't thought about that. I could take EW at level 23 instead of 29 if it were fixed.

Expose Weakness is not subject to such a bug. On all my characters with Evasion (both on BG and in the OC), I've been able to take it as early level 21 with a bonus class feat to take Epic Prowess first and then Expose Weakness after on the regular epic feat slot.

The fact that you can't take EDM on the same level as a Great Cha has been the same from MotB. It may not be fixable.

Does taking EDM require the class to do so? Or just the pre-req's? So if I have already taken Divine Might and have 21 Str can I take it with a fighter level in the epics?

then regular feats come first i think, then bonus feats (might be wrong)

you can take edm on a regular feat epic level feat, not a bonus one ie fighter/divine champ etc

my guess is that he is doing it on a bonus feat, and if it's not on the bonus feat list for that specific class it will not show up.

No class has edm on the bonus feat list, as far as i know, default classes might

I dont know the default bonus feat list for favored souls

your stats must be at the requirement before you get the feat

using a feat to qual for a feat works when your stat pre-req is not an issue
