By Order of the Conclave

[Naukratis]

Zesryn De'Ndar steps into Gloura's Wings tavern with a slave orc carrying a handful of papers. With a wave of his hand the slave immediately hands a paper to the tavern owner and posts multiple copies on the walls. They leave and Zesryn keeps a close eye on the rest of the slaves at his disposal as they work to post pages around the entire city.

The note reads:

"By order of the Conclave:
Commencing immediately City of Sshamath is to be lit as brightly as the surface sun for the next ten-cycle. Faerns of the Schools of Evocation will be setting light enchantments throughout the city's streets, any tampering with them will incur great penalty for the offenders.

The Charnag Maelthra will be recruiting citizens of appropriate aptitude and attitude for an important service to the Conclave. Refusal of their request will not be tolerated and will result in immediate censure of the harshest kind.

Anyone that wishes to please the conclave can offer their service to the officers of the Charnag Maelthra."

After making sure the last of the notes is posted, Zesryn takes out a rod and touches the trigger lighting it up as bright as daylight. Holding his arm across his face, he curses to himself and slowly lets the light come in contact with his eyes. "Soon" he says under his breath as he stalks through the streets of Sshamath holding the cursed rod high for all to see.

Zordem reads the none and thinks to him self "what ever this is about there is coin in it".
He turns around and look for someone to deliver his message and a Svierf walks by him Zordem grabs the Svierfneblin by the throat:

If you value your life you will do as i say go to one of the agents of Charnag Maelthra and tell them that Bregan Daerthe are offering them selves for the task for the usual price .

[Amal'launim]

Amal'launim eventually finds her way to one of the posts scattered throughout Sshamath, briefly letting her crimson orbs scan the text do to a bored curiosity. Her lips curls in contempt, a soft sigh escaping her obsidian dark lips as she slowly turns away from the parchment folding her arms and leaning against the wall it has been posted on, muttering to herself in a mildly annoyed tone.

"Why these males keep insisting on being ants reaching for the sun when they should be spiders revelling in the dark, is apparently beyond my comprehension."

Another demonstrative sigh, before she pushes herself off the wall and continues about her daily business preparing enough rations for the next ten cycles should the Conclave truly intent to go through with this, to her, impractical plan.

Edit: OOC question, is this 10 IG days/cycles (meaning less than one RL day) or is it 10 RL days?

Shar sits silently by her usual table inside the tavern, stiring across the room. In her hands she holds one of the many notes scattered around the city. Eyes wandering in a spiral downwards as she unfolds the notes, she mumbles to herself "So, this is what Zordem was informing us about the other night" Raises her voice as she slams her left fist hitting the table: "Hah! This should be quite.. interesting" her eyes blistering of joy.

The Sutrinos of the Charnag Maelthra moves through Sshamath casting light enchantments on spots throughout the bazaar. The bright points of light eclipse the twinkling mulit-colored faerie fire that normally illuminates the city, passing citizens shielding their eyes from the burning brightness. None of them dare to look too long at Cel'lith Morcane or inquire about his business, the crest of the Deep Dragons glows ominously on his chest.
Passing a squad of kobolds being led by their Tanarukk combat-handler Cel'lith motions him to stop. The Tanarukk kicks the nearest kobold in the gut to bring the herd to a stop leaving the kobold doubled over in the street and gasping for air. It's companions stand rigidly in formation not daring to step out of line to help their writhing herd-mate.
"Ibblith, what clan do dos hail from?" Cel'lith spits at the hell-spawned orc.
"Clan Gr'gak master!" comes the proud reply.
"Inform your Clan-leader, the Sorcerer Sh'kaak that he is to prepare for combat operations on the surface immediately."
"As you wish master" the Tanarukk replies, executing a surprisingly neat bow for a Tanarukk.
Cel'lith turns on his heel and walks further into the city leaving the Tanarukk to whip his charges into motion once again.

Oawa journeys again to Sshamath to sell various wares.... and perhaps to pick up some interesting items along the way. She noticed the changes from before, the darkening of the City. How would she feel with the brightening of the City?

Perhaps, someone from the Charnag Maelthra may fill her in?

Cel'lith Morcane walked briskly through Varalla's to the main gates of Sshamath.
"Finally" he breathed.

The gate guards quickly recognized the glowing insignia on his chest and stood to attention, spears held vertically and eyes fixed forward.

Nodding to them he stepped to the Sargtlin on duty and spoke into his ear, "have any rivvil passed this way recently D'shait?"

"Naut recently" he replied as his nose crinkled at the unfamiliar smell coming off the Sutrinos of the Charnag Maelthra.

Cel'lith smiled inwardly at the guard's sharp senses, the training was going well. "It's the surface you smell Sargtlin, the preparations continue."

The Sargtlin nodded as though he understood what was being confided in him, wondering if the knowledge might cost him is life at some point.

"Ensure those light spells continue burning brightly, if they fail inform a faern of the Evocation school immediately. On your life, am I clear?" Cel'lith whispered.

"Xas Sutrinos Maelthra, crystal," the Sargtlin responded.

Satisfied his preparations were moving forward as planned Cel'lith brushed past the guard and into the city of dark weavings.

Standing on her balcony from her room in the inn she watches the city with mild interest. Watching all who pass while brushing her hair with a jeweled comb, She smiles seeing the commander of the guard go walking by up to the spiral. turning only for a moment to summon the servent in the room enter slaveas she coldly looks apon the slave as she brings in perfums and candles with exotic fruit. Waveing her hand for the slave to leave she turns back to the balcony with a piece of fruit she walks back ,almost glideing when she walks she watches the commander walk back into the city .Sighing just a bit she takes a bit out of fruit with pleasurable satisfaction , thinking to herself oh Devin the things you would do to him.Turning back to the room she prepares her bath with the perfumes and candles ,sitting in the warm water with no expression on her face .....then smiles with satisfaction.

[Naukratis]

Zesryn stands outside of Gloura's Wings Tavern, observing the trade and looking for light sources coming from every individual in the city. A cocky Jabress walks past Zesryn with a snarl on her face and no light source present.

Zesryn approaches the Jabress, hands on his hilts, ready to end this disobedient one's life. "Where is your mandatory light source?" Zesryn asks.
"No one tells me what to do" she spits as she casts a globe of darkness around the elite Charnag Maelthra warrior. Zesryn draws his swords in a flash and runs through the darkness, ready to slice her down, but is in disbelief when she is no where to be found. "I have a special death in store for that one" he spits.

The next cycle while Zesryn is talking to a Warlock and a power hungry Necromancer, he catches out of the corner of his eye the same Jabress running towards the spiral exit. "She will not escape me this time!" He shouts while his enchanted bracers glow and give swiftness to his entire body. In a flash Zesryn is in front of her, blocking her exit, swords drawn and ready for blood.

"So you thought you could escape me Jabress? I will take great pleasure in killing you" Zesryn said with glee. "Your no better then a human" She replied making a confused expression fill Zesryn's face. In a blurry flash Zesryn runs both of his swords into her stomach, laughing in satisfaction. With her life-force spilling out of her wounds she tried to talk but suddenly became quiet when Zesryn pulled his swords out, lit a torch and proceeded to light her on fire. "Now that is an acceptable light source! Let the others see what happens when you disobey the Charnag Maelthra!" Zesryn shouted with satisfaction.
