Facescarves and grumpy elves

On one otherwise quiet night, snippets of an elf arguing with a guard at the east gate of Baldur's Gate over the matter of her black facescarf and 'masks' not being allowed could be overheard.

"What do you -mean- I can't wear a mask in town. . . this is a facescarf, you doink!. . . I have facial scarring you insensitive round-eared mush-for-brains!"

The elf may then have been spotted being arrested for 'disturbing the peace', swearing in elven about human injustice shortly thereafter.
