EDM Paladin Weapon

Hello everyone.
I want to create EDM-Using paladin. At final it will have 21STR/CHA (25 with +4 gear).
Base AB will be 43. Base AC is 15 (Add +4 Dex [12 base DEX] Item and Mithral Full Plate, +Divine Shield.
So, i wonder about the weapons. I could use a two-handed, or a 1h and shield. Personaly i think two-handed is better because of STR/DMG bonuses.
In case of Shield should i use Heavy or Tower one? (Mixing with Fighter allows me to).
I prefer following:
Greatsword for 2h
Scimitar for 1h

Scimitar is best because it can be twohanded for the 1,5 Strength. The 1d6 vs 2d6 is just 3,5 average damage in difference. Most of your damage is from strength, EDM and paladin spells. And all of your damage can crit, meaning scimitar is likely the best choice.
Paladin on BGTSCC has spells that can give you +8 strength and +8 charisma. As such, it's usually best to aim for even numbers there. But that is mostly relevant for close to pure paladins. I don't know what your intended build is.
Whether you use tower or heavy shield can depend on the situation. The difference is +2AC/-2AB when using tower shields. On my fighters I've always gone with having both available.

I would go with the 2-hander and have a shield as a backup for when it's really needed.
There's also always the Wand of Shield or Ring of Shielding that gives you most of the Shield AC unless you choose a Tower Shield.
As Deathgrowl says you get some good boosts to Strength and Charisma with you Paladin spells but you should never count on getting +4 ability items.
They are nearly impossible to get a hold of.

1. I am Fighter/Paladin. Pally used only for Saves, i can not cast anything.
2. We should also consider, that 3,5 increases to 7 on critical hits. Most problem of scimitar, is that it hardly relies on crit, and there is much crit-immune creatures here.
3. I have +4 DEX item already, so i can count on it.

I'm assuming you're going at least 12 levels of fighter, then? For Epic weapon specialization and stuff?
That means you should focus on one type of weapon. 4 AB and 6 damage is locked to that particular weapon.
Your damage is going to be in the realm of weapon + strength + fighter feats + edm (+ power attack/improved power attack)
Without a shield, 24 str and charisma, twohanding a scimitar +4 will yield you:
1d6 + 4 (eb) + 10 (1,5str) + 8 (fighter feats) + 14 (edm) (+6/+12 (pa/ipa)) = 39,5 (45,5/51,5) average.
With a greatsword, that result is 43 (49/55) average. So all in all, the difference isn't great. Especially with the flexibility of a scimitar to put on a shield.
You can, however, of course add in Monkey Grip in your build and stick to greatsword and still use shield, but that comes at a -2 AB.

Fair enough and congratz on that.
That still doesn't mean that you will find those two items easily though.
However it doesn't seem to matter much if your end score is 21. Then a +3 item will be just as good.
