Background: It was a fine morning when Dylan was awaken by the cries of a baby. He was cofused at start, for he had no child, and even no wife at all. He was trying to run a farm, by himself, with only an arm and a leg that wasn't fully working.
He was a retired paladin of Lathander. It seemed just fitting for him to join a small farming comunity not so far of his old temple of Beregost. He was still able to fight a little bit, even if he couldn't continue his duty as a Paladin, as much for his past injuries as because of his old age.
The cries of the baby didn't seemed to diminish so the man raised himself with concern and quicly raced toward the door. Something terrible must have happened for no one to answer such wailing.
And no sooner then he had opened his door did he found a small baby bundled on is porche. He blinked in suprise, but it was too late. The golden eyes of the little thing, as much as it's bright smile just had conquered him. He searched for days for the child's parent, but no one ever showed up, and no one knew anything about her.
Years passed and the child grew to a very pretty young maid, one as strong of heart as of body. He trained her as best as he could, but there was just so much as an old man could teach a young and enthusiastic girl. And he felt the years coming back to him. He wouldn't live much longuer.
The war took a great toll on him. His girl wanted to be part of it, to fight and protect people, but he prevented her to do so. She had to protect the farm and the neighboor, and that was it. He knew it was hard on her, but she just wasn't ready for battle yet.
And the years that followed made him feal closer and closer to his god, and less from the mortal plain. His time was coming to an end.
So he decided to let her go. She spoke more and more of the renewal of the temple in Beregost, of her desire to join noble cause and fight her way into life. So, when a caravan passed their small road on a journey to Beregost, he let her go.
As some sort of strange and twisted destiny, the merchant finaly decided to avoid Beregost, and go straightly to Baldur's Gate, and so the young girl would have to find her way to Beregost on her own.
Goals: To become a great paladin of Lathander, to acheive fame and glory for her name and her god. To become a Templar in the temple of Beregost
