Does Manyshot apply to Xbows here in BG?

it shouldnt no... doubt we would have added xbow sniper if it did

Oh ok, yeah Dm Neph told me in game that it does.

Just trying to decide between Manyshot and Improved crit. Any suggestions?

Manyshot is THE Archery Feat. Don't leave home without it. You must make sure that your AB can cope with the (final) 8AB Penalty though.

Yeah my AB is respectable, my only hesitation was the severe drop in AB. But I'm guessing its only used against enemies you usually have no problem hitting and not tough enemies that are higher lvl than you, right?

oh yea i remember now, we didnt want to add xbow sniper because of that but they said meh go for it

I'm loving playing a rogue xbow archer. All my rogues have always been melee and I never liked the idea of a rogue using a bow, but an xbow fits the class perfectly.

Glad they put in those xbow feats, but Ive never played an archer so that's why I'm unsure about the feats and which are really necessary.

I said what I meant. You should always be using Manyshot; that means you need to plan your build's AB around that. It's easy enough to get 50+AB on non-HiPS builds and high 40s for HiPSters. You don't need to be that high, but you only get 3 attacks per round (4 with Haste) so you want as many to hit as possible - with Manyshot.

Thanks for the info! I'm a HIPster so my AB is probably not at good as it can be for an archer, but I have teamed up with other archers an noticed the difference in the amount of attacks.
