Anonymously or Cowardly?

It is unfortunate when a few individuals take it upon themselves to dictate to the larger server population what they believe the policies should be. Many of us know the thread called "An Open Letter on Favoritism" posted by "ConcernedPlayers." And now the latest PM by the log in name of ShadowSpeaker who has posted a list of DM names.

Firstly, the irony of this is the blatant fact that these individuals call to end anonymity yet they do so hiding their own names.

Secondly, we SHARE this server with each other... player and staff alike. This sharing does not mean that we have the right to run a muck and do whatever we want. We have the privilege to create characters that share in the stories and history of this server.

Thirdly, follow the rules. They are for everyone... even the DMs and other members of staff. If you have a complaint, PM it. Use your name and give screenshots or other relevant information. Hiding behind an anonymous name is just cowardly.

Fourth and finally, the dedication and diligence of Luna as administrator here has been consistent over the 6 years I have played here. He has granted us our privilege to play here. He bears a great burden born from the love of this game to share this content with us.

If a friend invited you over to his or her house, would you take a crap in his potted plants? No... the rule is.. use the toilet... so please stop crapping in Luna's house and follow the simple rules. It smells bad and it would be a shame if he kicked everyone out because some nameless cowards think they have the right to crap where they want.

If you don't like the way the server is run, be constructive in your criticisms and work with the staff and players to bring positive changes... or just leave.

To the still-anonymous- to- me dm team: this post is my vote of confidence and appreciation in everything you do. Thank you.

I have already lost several good friends from this server because of this whinging. I sincerely hope that those who have felt the deepest slight from this foolish act will continue with us.

Since I am new to this server I am personally glad I read the Open Letter because there seems to be a lot more to playing in persistent world than meets the eye and reading forum post may be the only way to get answers. I'll keep reading and see what I learn.

Why do you keep reviving super old threads? The DM team members mentioned that Catam is talking about, aren't really even in the DM team anymore. Catam himself as far as I am aware barely even plays here either anymore, if at all.
