What is a magefair?
The magefair is a private gathering of arcane spellcasters to exchange spells, research or information, as well as shop, attend events or just practice magic far from inhabitated areas. This magefair springs up around Calimar Arkenneld, whom is rumoured to be looking for a particular set of magical items.

Who is invited?
Any arcane spellcaster (both surface and underdark). Each spellcaster may bring a single guest. Upon entry, each visitor must prove that they are able to cast a spell. The guests are exempt from this requirement. All visitors pay 500 goldcoins upon entry to the sentinel.

Brandishing of weapons, except for quarterstaves, as well as acts of violence outside of the mage duel circle, will be dealt with harshly by the minions of the lich Calimar Arkenneld.

What does the magefair consist of?
The magefair will hold numerous merchant stalls selling exotic and unique reagents, scrolls, magical items, magical services and information. There will be a mage duel circle, and several contests on the display of magical excellence.

When and where will the magefair take place?

The magefair will take place in 8 days (27th of June, 17 GMT onwards). The location will be the upperdark (IC secret until 3 days before the event).

How do I know the fair exists IC?
From a recieved vision from Azuth, Corellon or Mystra or sending from a colleague.

~Arena battles with fantastical monsters and beasts pitted against each with Arcanists standing on the outskirts of the arena, hollering throughout the fight, making bets on the winner.

~Familiar faces he often sees in his wanderings, and some light skinned unfamiliar faces obviously from the World Above, selling their own personal wares brought from their homeland to curious passerby.

~A pond of arcane liquid, where one owner, once in his life time, drops an enchanted artifact into the pond, with the possibility an equal or stronger enchanted item to float back up to the surface!

~Spell duals unlike he has ever seen before flare up around him.

~Exotic potions and rare scrolls abound a plenty on the peripherals of his vision.

~And faces, varied beyond the planes, crowd the fair on the grounds of neutrality, under the Gods of Magic, to do business, network and trade.

Nymrath shakes his head as the visions fade. He sits and ponders for a moment on what he had just seen. He shook with excitement!

// I'll be generous and say any arcane spell level 1 or higher. So, as long as your druid or cleric can cast an arcane spell, you're in. Spell-like abilities and scrolls doesn't count. So, no assassins.

Anyone that doesn't qualify can still visit as a guest to one who qualifies. You must then arrive together, of course.
