To all you non-believers out there, don't you dare step into a forest...or it might suddenly burst into malicious life.

Sounds like people have been watching "Day of The Trifids" a little much.
Also the if a tree falls thing is wrong it should be: If a tree falls in the forest, and i or my house are not directly under it at the time... do i give a crap

Btw the tree falling in the woods meme is scientifically wrong. If a tree falls in the forest it still makes a sound regardless if anyone or anything is not there to hear it. Prob one of the dumber philosophy questions imho.

Depends on the definition of "sound". Is sound simply the waves of air pressure, or is it the perception of it?
As a person with education in music production and sound effect design, I've sort of fallen into the former. That sound is a physical phenomenon of air pressure waves. But I can see how some might think sound is defined as the neurological reaction to those air pressure waves.

Pretty sure science describes sound as anykind of high frequency or concussive pressure waves traveling through atmosphere that produces vibrations that some lifeforms who are sensitive to such can percieve.

You don't even need an "atmosphere".
A block of liquid, solid works just fine. You just need direct contact to "hear it" without an atmosphere.
