Tenacious plague doubts

hi all i can't point out the behavior of this invocation .... i use it since ever but here is he first time that i use it modified so i started evaluating it from new .

my doubt is about how swarms are managed by the engine ( when it was possibile to cast it keeping invisibility i never cared about it ) basically you can use it as a target spell (you target an enemy and cast it) or as an area of effect spell (target ground and cast) the description says that you evocate one swarm every 3 warlock levels so at lvl 30 you get 10 swarms and that each swarm attacks for 3 rounds and until then everything is clear

what i can't point out is : even if i cast on single target all other creatures ( even friendly are hitted by the spell ) everyone gets 1 swarm for 3 warlock level for 3 rounds or the total amount of swarms is divided trough targets ?

and if this is the case shouldn't be more correct that if i use it single target all swarms goes to that target only and if i use it as AOE swarms get divided ?

is there anyone who can say for sure IF and HOW swarms are divided trough targets ?

thank you very much
:)

It tries to split the swarm evenly if there's multiple enemies within the cast. In other words it's useless unless used on a single target, especially compared to wall of perilous flame. The only use plague has is for an exploit that I won't mention.

well i'm not completely agree ... it ignores SR it has auto-hit ( nearly ) it stacks (if that has not been changed) the real under powering change they made is that breaks the invisibility ( that being technically a summon it's not correct IMHO but i can understand that is one of those min/max thing )

beside that ( that are all invocation peculiarity) i never heard of exploits regarding this invocation
