D&D 3.5 starter set

Unread post by Zanniej »

Hey guys,
Can anyone point me to a shop that offers a D&D 3.5 starter set? I want to start doing a P&P game with some friends, and due to this game being (somewhat) according to the 3.5 rules set, I would like to play my game with the same ruleset.

Preferably a shop that also ships to the Netherlands! ;-)

Sure, no problem! 3.5 is getting harder to get these days with the crazy amount of 5e love going around. Starter sets dont exactly exist these days, but you can find the books individually. The best bet is amazon aslong as you have a few bucks to through around. You're looking between 20-40 dollars a book, and you need the Players Handbook, the dungeon masters guide, and the Monster manual just to get the basics started. I also recommend an adventure module or two just to see how to popular set up encounters.
Aslong as you understand the "Basics" Of combat from nwn2, you shouldnt have to much trouble in PnP, but PnP is drastically different with hundreds upon thousands of more options for you to build characters with. Plus the added bonus that wizards are useful again

Baring that, and if you players all have access to the internet, you can always do Pathfinder. Its 3.75 essentially. Nearly identical Rules with some improvements (In my personal opinion)

If you ever need help with anything 3.5 or Pathfinder related, feel free to ask! Im a forever DM since AD&D and I dont mind helping people with learning how to DM/Play 3.5 and Pathfinder.. Also I teach people 4e aswell, but most people dont like playing 4e
