Are you referring to the Combat Style where a ranger has to pick between Archery or Two-weapon combat?

If so, that has never been disabled to the fullest extent of my knowledge. You can read about the custom changes to the Ranger class here:
Ranger
- Can cross class the perform skill.
- Get Full Caster Level Progression (instead of 1/2 caster level progression)
- New spells have bene added (see new spells topic)
http://bgtscc.net/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=6
So yes, it should work :)

I don't know what Theodore is referring to.

Darkcloud is asking about two handed fighting, not two weapon fighting. I believe two handed fighting progresses power attack feats instead of two weapon fighting/archery feats. It's a Kaedrin ranger feature that was never added to the server as I understand.

Two-handed fighting style uses greatswords, falchions and any of the larger weapons like this. The feats are Power Attack, Cleave, Great Cleave and Supreme Cleave. This isn't a combat style found in the source books but was possibly crafted by Kaedrin along with a couple other styles.

EDIT: Was distracted by squirrels on facebook so Pia's post above confirms Kaedrin as the maker of the additional content. ;)

Thus it is not likely to see the light of day here.

It actually is in the source books, just a splat book for the Ranger class to change up its playstyles for people. I cant remember if its in complete martial or one of the nature-isk books. It and the animal companion style are both in the 3.5 edition somewhere, and they were carried over into 3.PF and 4th Edition aswell. It was a lack of the devs parts in 3.0 edition to let Rangers use two handed weapons like in the AD&D Kit, so when they remade 3.0 into 3.5 they added it back in with one of the source books.

ANYWAYS! I Digress!

yeah, its not implemented on our server, sad to say. It would be nice to give the Rangers their 6 Different combat styles for NWN2, but NWN2 is lacking in alot in the departments for alot of the races and class variants. I miss my Tieflings with +2 Dex, +2 Cha, -2 Int or my Druids with Biped shapes. Its just this game that lacks the customization that a real PnP game can give you.

Dragon Magazine 326 has a few different styles; Beast-Wrestling, Mounted-Combat, Piscator (melee weapon with net), Strong-Arm and Throwing. Strong-Arm is the closest to the Two-Weapon fighting style since the feats are power attack, improved sunder and great cleave.

As far as the Animal Companion style, I've never been able to find it so if TaintedGlory or anyone else can find the source for it, I'd love to see it. Mostly I've had to work with DMs in PnP to emulate that combat style so reading what D&D rules for it are would be most helpful.

I'll definitely look through my insane collection of books on my next day off. Its got to be in there somewhere. One of my friends plays rangers exclusively so we ended up buying so many ranger based source, splat, and magazines for 3.5 I know they took it and implemented a version of it in 4E, and its actually not bad in 4E, makes the animal much stronger and gives you team tactical attacks, its rather nice. I think in 3.5 all it does it give you the animal companion feats instead of the combat feats, yknow. Gives you the companion 2 levels earlier, and I think the variant is called Beast-Master. Or I may be confused and just talking about the class Beast-Master. 3.5 did some weird things and made some Classes that were mixtures of other classes.

Fair to say old grudges die hard and if it is Kaedrins it most likely is not on this server nor ever will be. If you like any of Kaedrins stuff you have to play another server to get it.

We don't have a grudge against Kaedrin. Kaedrin has a grudge against us and we're leaving him and his stuff alone.

We have a few "variant" ranger concepts bounced through QC but so far we're still trying to advance other projects for implementation.

Any news on opening rangers up to all deities? It would be nice to settle that before giving rangers stuff like class variants and prestige classes.

There was discussion about it and there is a fix submitted that should allow Rangers to follow non-Nature deities.

When that actually goes in, however, is still unknown.

The lore implicitly states that rangers do not have to follow nature deities.
If i recall it's the FR campaign setting - ranger class page.

Rangers are more outdoorsy commando types than some kind of nature-embodied melee class.
A famous banite general scyulla darkhope has one or two ranger levels with spells from bane. (implicitly he is the source of her ranger spells)

I just checked and here's the quote I found:
FR - Campaign setting pg. 26 wrote:Faerûnian rangers do not have to choose a patron deity until they reach 4th level and acquire divine spellcasting ability (without a patron deity, a ranger cannot cast spells). Many rangers choose a patron deity before then, but others start by devotion to the ranger's way of life instead of to one of the gods. Rangers and druids have similar preferences for deities, although some rangers with odd interests (such as hunting undead) choose different patrons.
It does state that they can chose not to have a god altogether, which means they can't cast spells. And that they might chose different patrons than druids - there's no specific mention of how selective they are though... The example would suggest a Lathanderite Ranger, which doesn't seem so far fetched, considering Lathander also nurtures and cares for nature. It's part of this domain... Would it extend to Waukeen, Grumsh or Loviatar though? I don't think so...

In my personal opinion, I would allow it for any deity that had something to do with nature - without necessarily being a pure nature deity.
