Rita is very small in every way possible which leads people to believe she is very fragile, which she tends to be. She, by no means, looks unhealthy, though. Rita normally holds herself straight and tall, hinting at her noble-influenced upbringing, but can tend to slouch and show a lot less of her noble side, especially when in a relaxed environment and around others she is comfortable with.
Face:
Rita has an angular face with high cheekbones and full, pink lips. She has a very sweet and innocent smile and her jade-green eyes sparkle when she’s happy. Her long, platinum-blonde hair goes down to the small of her back and is usually pulled out of her face by a ribbon which she ties in a bow. A few strands always manage to escape the tie, though, and tend to hang in her face. She’s usually constantly pushing the hair out of her eyes.
Casual Clothing:
When wearing her day-to-day clothing, Rita is usually seen in expensive dresses, made of the finest silks money has to offer. She tends to favor the elegant looking dresses, perhaps hinting at the way she was raised as well. She will on occasion, wear loose-fitting shirts and pants, but to see her in that is particularly rare.
Armor:
Rita wears chain shirts, the leather coverings usually dyed a shade of blue. She wears a blue cloak with an image of a white tree and the different phases of the moon sewn on it, secured around her shoulders by the Phoenix Company pin. She wears blue fingerless gloves for a more secure grip on her weapons. If seen running about somewhere one might consider dangerous, she is usually very well warded by blessings of her goddess.
Weapons:
Rita’s favored weapon is the longbow, which she keeps on her back. Her bow is a bright green with silver embellishments of leaves and curlicues. When she nocks an arrow to it, the tip of the arrow bursts into flame. Rita also has a Mithral, Elven Longsword on her hip. The blade is engraved with a pattern of leaves and flowers, and engraved on the ricasso, in Elven, is the word Y’va when translated in common.
Notable Accessories:
Rita wears one of two headbands all the time. One is a laced gold decorated with emerald stones and the other is a solid gold circlet. Rita wears two magical rings on her hands, and has two necklaces strung around her neck. One is a seashell of brilliant hues and the other is a talisman. She also has a large, shimmering and almost perfectly cut diamond that hovers just above her head when she is out on the field. It has been enchanted to act as an ion stone.

Rita is shy and seems to be pretty nervous a lot of the time, more so when she is on her own and interacting with people she doesn’t know than when she is with people she is familiar and comfortable with. Rita always seems to have something on her mind, sometimes coming off as worried or sad. Rita is usually more happy than not these days, though, and is more likely found smiling and moving with a graceful, cheerfulness to her step. Around her friends Rita seems to be more open with herself, her true colors hiding beneath her shy personality and her noble-influenced upbringing coming through a bit more; she seems less refined and more easygoing. Around her boyfriend she appears to be most comfortable of all. It is rare to see a frown on her face when she is around him, as she seems to radiate love and joy in his company.
Motivation:
Rita has made it her ultimate goal to see the world, as she’d grown up in the confines of Baldur’s Gate, hidden away from the outside world. Like her mother, she does not like being tied down to one place for long. Rita also strives to see the ones she truly cares about happy, to the point she’ll put herself last, even when it’s more important she worry about her own well-being. This drives her to become stronger in what she does.
Ego:
When Rita has reason to be proud, she tends to show it, usually by getting really excited and showing off what she’s obtained like the way a child would. Other times she just grins wide and laughs. A lot the time, though, Rita is very humble, finding some of her talents just something she’s always done and nothing to boast about.

Background:
Rita was born and raised in Baldur’s Gate to a wealthy, past-noble moon-elf couple. Her mother and father and had been nobles in the Elven city, but gave up their title and house when they moved to the Gate. Her family, however was still well-known and did a lot for the bustling city, like make donations to the churches and attend fundraisers and the like. They stayed wealthy by becoming a merchant family. Growing up in this environment, around a mostly human-populated city and away from many elves, and raised by two former-noble parents, Rita picked up a lot of human traits and grew up to be a very proper young lady who followed rules, used proper etiquette, but came off as very shelled away and a tad naive. Rita would attend the parties and balls her parents asked her to, only to shy away to a corner and stand there during the outing, if she could get away with it.
Soon after Rita turned one hundred and four, her mother left after a serious argument with Rita’s father. She refused to take Rita along, no matter how much she begged. Rita was left with her strict father, who became even more uncompromising after his wife had gone.
After fifty years, Rita decided enough was enough and she put her foot down. She told her father she was leaving home to go search for her mother. He didn’t let her go without an argument, but Rita did eventually get as she’d wanted. She was finally free to look for her mother, explore, and lead the life she’d always wanted. As her family had always given prayer to Mielikki, Rita decided to use her love for the goddess for good in her traveling, and took up her mother's old bow.
Of course, the life of an adventurer was a lot rougher than Rita had expected, and it took a while to adjust. Her father bought her a house in the East District as she’d refuse to come home and stay at the local inn instead. He’d bought her the gear she needed to start out, afraid for her safety.
It wasn’t long after she started traveling that she met a man, the man she calls boyfriend today. He made her feel comfortable, like she could step out of her shell and be herself. He was the first person in a long, long time who had ever accomplished that. He was the push Rita needed to continue adventuring and to become stronger.
