another server I was on did this. Didn't work. As always, people mess it up. The stuff always ended up in the nearest store.

Re: Suggestion: Salvation Amy Bin placed in The Nexus
^^^That sounds like a great idea! However the loot scripts are so fubar with one type of shuriken being put in over 100 times and then one type of copper ring put in a 1000 times so any drop worth gambling over for a random loot generator like that would be worthless. You would drop a 100000 gold and get a copper ring like 90% of the time. Or get 90 Gold back. Cool idea but it needs refinement since the random loot generator has item repeats in it and that fubars the drop rates which suck so bad it is not even funny.

I think it would be more IG if it were in Sshamath and The eastern farmlands....
...and I think it would be best if it could somehow have a script that anything put in would have it's value reduced to 0, so it can't be resold.

Agree with NeOmega (never thought I'd say that! :p) Reduce value to zero also promotes new players to give back when they upgrade.

I mean, if we are adding a fountain and a donation chest, why not add blackjack and hookers? And maybe a disco ball? I mean, Mystra was a cow named Moostra at least once, this doesnt seem any more redonkulous. XD

This isn't the Obama administration. Why does everyone always want something for nothing? Where's the fun in getting something out of the welfare bin when you could be in a dungeon finding better stuff in chests?

Regarding the charity item container: Why not make it so only low level (up to 5 or 10) PCs can retrieve items from it? Otherwise they get blocked.

Re: Suggestion: Salvation Amy Bin placed in The Nexus
Interesting idea, but who would save some relative useless things for themselves just to put it in some container in the Nexus several hours from the point of which you aquired it usually?
I think it would be empty most the time and otherwise used as a trash barrel after resets.
If it ought to be anywhere, it should be the Ilmater temple or the like. Putting it in an OOC area that you can not return to except for post-resets, kinda defeats the purpose.
Would also save Bob-The-Fighter from having to explain how he got his sword from "somewhere.. it was very strange.. I dont want to talk about it!" weird things happen in the Nexus sometimes.
