Question on Warlock...
So I don't remember where but somewhere on these forums I read something about having the infernal and or fey heritage feats boosts eldritch blast damage and adds dcs to invocations. So if I had a warlock with both feats and a base of 5d6, I would instead be doing 7d6 with my blasts due to those feats. Is this true?

Fey improves DCs. Practiced Invoker works like PSC, but increases Blast Dice.

So taking those feats does not increase eldritch blast rather practiced invoker does even though its not supposed to?

Re: Question on Warlock...
Infernal & Fey Heritage feats give you zero extra blast dice. Practiced invoker gives you +2d6 blast dice as long as you take 4 levels in another class. Taking 4 less warlock levels gives you one less epic feat but the loss is usually worth it.
CHA is surprisingly weak for locks unless you are going for your own insane saving throws with blackguard(which isn't necessary at all). Raising your DC's becomes an exercise in futility at epic levels and CHA doesn't give you more invocations(though it really should imo). Either go full CON tank build or DEX HIPS build.
That said my CHA/tank warlock hybrid still does very well but you quickly realize you just don't have the extra invocations to spare on a bunch of DC based blasts. Everyone knows to max UMD but Appraise is surprisingly amazing as well. It allows you to cheaply buy the necessary defensive scrolls to slay practically every boss on the server solo. Extra tips: wall of perilous flame and repelling blast are great for leveling in the annoying "pre eldritch master" levels.

Re: Question on Warlock...
Here is a small update:
If you have 4 levels in another Class, and take Practised Invoker, your build, in combination with Fey Power, would add +5 HD for determining Blast Dice. I do not think you can increase beyond 30 HD for blast dice (14d6), so with a Warlock 26/XXX 4, you would have the max blast dice (as long as the build has Practised Invoker.
Now, why would anyone take Fey Power beyond RP reasons? Well, if you did a Warlock 25 / XX 5 split, you would have 30 HD equivalent for having blast dice. A pity is that if you go Warlock 24 / XX 3 / XX 3 in order to fulfill the 3b20 Rule, you will be 1 HD short of max blast dice.
Probably one of those "in balance" issues!
BTW, the above quote mentions have both Fey and Fiendish Power. That is just impossible, because both Feats require a Lvl-1 mandatory Heritage feat of the same type. So the quote is misleading.
The above quote is from BG's Custom Changes post. What this means is that if you take Fey Power—and Fey Heritage is required for Fey Power—the builds HD for Blast Dice is increased by 1. And if that HD increase lands the build on a level from which the Warlock gains another blast dice, your build would get it.Feats: Fey Power and Fiendish Power count toward your HD for determining your blast power. So if you were a level 10 warlock with both these feats, your blast dice would be determine as a level 12 warlock.

Re: Question on Warlock...
I recall that you can get both feat if you're a human. You get two feat choices at level one that way
Never checked it for myself though.
