NPCs in houses

Is there a reason why NPCs were recently added to the houses of Baldur's Gate? I know a lot of people like to use one of the many houses to represent 'their own' residences in BG. Having a NPC randomly walking about during RP can be fairly awkward.

Having the guards change to City Watch to reflect the War Council RP I thought was cool, but I just don't see how having NPCs in the houses is constructive to RP. I know we can't really 'claim' a house as our own, but they have been used as placeholders often.

This is actually a bug/unintended consequence. Don't panic, it will be reverted!

Rather than rendering every PC who uses one of these interiors guilty of breaking and entering, feel free to ignore those NPCs for now.

I'll move this to bugs

I've been RPing mine as Endelyon's butler.

Issue identified and change implemented. Should take effect after next server auto-reset.

Note, I cannot remove the two child NPCs in the area without forcing a client-side ADL update, which is currently broken w.r.t. updates.

Now I can't do sitcom RP about the zany shenanigans of Charraj and his whacky roommate. :(

. . . Maybe Charraj will put an ad in the Herald to look for a roommate.
