Rumours spread on the Sword Coast that Whitbeys, a family of long-lasting tradition as one of Baldur's Gate's nominal collectors of all that are old, report that their son has gone missing upon his excusrion to a fishing village somewhere between Daggerford and Waterdeep.
It is said that the family is offering a handsome reward to whoever can find news of their missing kin.
Furthermore, rumours say that finding this village is difficult, but thankfully there is a coach that makes the road every tenday, and the next time it does so is the 30th of Marpenoth, just before sunset. hearsay is that it's a rickety old wagon, with room only for six people. And to boot, the old wagon has an equally ancient driver, one who demands seats reserved ahead of time!
It's said that the driver is currently on his way back to Baldur's Gate, and will remain at the caravan stop from the 26th to 30th.
((Hello players!
I am planning on running a Halloween-themed event this friday at 20:00 GMT + 0.
As the rumour describes, only 5-6 people can attend due to the nature of the event and for optimal attention to all participants.
Level does not matter. A level 1 can participate to the same extent as a level 30. In fact, lower levels might have more fun. The event is to be mainly RP focus with little combat, but with plenty of chances to roll your skills/saves, maybe use a feat or spell in an unconventional way.
The first six people who make a move to securing themselves a seat on the old wagon will be those coming along.
Signing up starts on monday, as that's when the creaky wagon arrives!))

Having heard the rumors about the Whitbeys missing son and the promise of reward, Adam a ranger of the Unicorn Queen, hastily makes his way towards the caravan stop
"Some gold will definitely help to start up the Darius Holdings Company."
Adam thinks to himself and patiently waits for the coach to arrive

Indicus brightens (as much as is possible when you are already on fire) and indicates that he will also come along, as much to try and impress his new leader Terri with his 'insightful genius' than anything else. Gold is always useful to pay for spell components and books as well....
//PM sent. Basically I can't be there for the start so if you already have 6 or don't want late starters then no problem.//

The old, croaky man grunts as people come to purchase a ticket for the ride. He laments the company quietly, grumbling that he never had so many people in years coming to his lovely old village of Cavebay.

A raven lands on a branch of a nearby tree and begins to periodically caw annoying all the bystanders. After a long while, when nobody has a hope anymore that the noise will ever stop, the raven suddenly flies behind the tree and raises a piercing shriek. As everyone savours the sweet taste of silence, a man walks out from behind of the tree.
"Problem solved!" He disrupts the peace with a loud proclaim, raising a suspicion that a new source of irritation came to life. The man spares any more words and with a cheeky smile on his face he pays the fare.
// Unless it's already full, then the man dissapears and the raven shows up once again
Character's name: Havarn

Shelli runs in front of the cart, waving it down.
"Hey, I want to ride too!"
She steps in greeting everyone with a big gaping smile, madness clearly blazed in her eyes.
"Hail friends! Heard about something spooooky, and saw fit to place my self in danger!"
//I taketh back the RP, of this event is filled.

"Caw...... Caw..... Caw......" Terri looks out the window of the carriage and gauges the distance to the crow then closes the flap and rubs her temple and emoting a sigh a the crow which either by chance of fate chose to land just out of her orb range. "Caw.... Caw..... Caw....." the crow emoted again before the sound of flapping wings.
Terri fails to hide a smirk at the sound of the loud shriek nor the look of surprise at the familiar voice of Harvarn. she would quickly pull her hood further forward and mutter a silent prayer of thanks to her Goddess for reminding her to wear her scouting disguise. "Me Bast" She would speak with a thick eastern accent to the old driver as she quickly dives into her Eastern persona.
///her scent is masked to the smell of ragweed. will show the ragweed prop upon request.

Indicus briefly toyed with the idea of using the raven as target practice for his fiery bursts. Then makes a note to remind himself that occasionally animals are in fact manifestations of druidic power. Must remember that...He hands some warm coins over to the driver.

"Is getting rowdy back'ere. Ye lot sure ye want to come to Cavebay? We don like outsiders, especially nosy ones. An' ye look nosy like a bad fish to me, eh!"

*Indicus blinks several times*
"Fish, FISH? How could you possibly intimate that I could in any way be associated with a creature of the piscine variety?"
*goes redder, and starts emitting small wisps of flame. Takes a few breaths, slowly calms down.*
"in any case, if our help is required we will necessarily desire to travel to said location in order to perform an investigative line of inquiry, correct?"

Cavebay's location remains in the memories of but the few unfortunate souls to have answered the call of intrigue. Their work futile though, and they return empty handed... but with blood on the hands, an innocent's blood. The heavy mists remain over the coast for a while, before the tide returns to its natural resting place, as if nothing had had happened.
