After the initial update before the reverse, I had started updating, which obviously was not needed.
Now that I am trying to get on the server, I'm getting this message
"Now downloading guid.GFF" This attempt always fails however.
So I cannot play, is there something I should do to rectify this?

Have you tried closing the entire NWN client and restarting it up again from the desktop? That occasionally corrects these sorts of issues.

If that's a no-go, we'll continue looking into it.

Yep, I also tried with/without the client extension. Both result in the same issue.

Hm. Do you recall what files were updated in the server update?

We've reverted the server back to pre-update status, so your files may no longer be compatible if you updated them during the hour or two the updates were live. If you could replace them with the previous versions, you might be in working order.

Did anyone else update with the server, and are now having issues logging in? Or can everyone else log in just fine?

I did the update and i am able to login just fine. Was your update completed paulimposteur?

I attempted to remove all of my .HAKs from the folder, this still leaves the 'guid.GFF' bug.
I'll keep updating with whatever I try in the meantime.

My 're-update' to the past version can't be complete.
As for the update that was intended, no, It didn't reach 100%

Attempted to remove files from Modules, Says "Failed to connect to https://bgtscc.net:21;"
However, the game is allowed on my firewall.

Update: GUID.GFF is located in modules folder. Although this seems to be on my end, as it looks as though I simply cannot connect to the servers downloader. Even with the removal of this file, it still attempts to download 'Exportinfo.GFF' and also fails the attempt.

Update2: My friend sent me these files over Skype

GUID.GFF

even with these files, the server tries to redownload them, and fails.

Update 3: Removed all files pertaining to todays update and BGTSCC1 in general. Still cannot download any files. I tried to join another server and immediately began downloading the files to that server. Seems BGTSCC is an isolated case for me.

Update 4: Removed every file from 'MyDocuments' pertaining to NWN2, still cannot download from server.

Update 5: Had a fresh install on a partitioned drive. Attempted to launch from this folder, same result. Cannot download.

At this point there's nothing else I can even think of trying. Between a fresh install and no files that could be corrupted (since they were removed), I don't know what I could attempt next.

GUID.GFF was one of the first problem files I had with the ADL. I got it going for myself (and most others it seems) by replacing the copy in the initial update with the version from the previous load.

Did you try replacing everything back as it was? The Server now is not at all like it was 8 hours ago.

No, I didn't have backup files. In place of that I had simply clean-installed everything and still had an issue.

I also had my friend transfer his working version via Skype. This also did not work, when I used his files in place of mine.

Verify the ADL ensuring the LZMA of the GUID.GFF file is no longer present.

I did the update at 20 pm GMT yesterday (Monday). I can log in fine, but does that mean I have problematic content and should redownload it, or will the server work with this update installed?

You should be fine so long as the server validation remains enabled.

Hey AoS, Demo is down there by the way. He was trying to help me all of last night get this working to no avail.

I removed the LZMA specifically. Though the complete fresh install should have fixed all problems, since I also emptied myDocs out at the same time. I don't think I'll be able to make it on the server at this point, though if its on my side I cannot figure out what it is at all.

As I said, I seem to be able to connect to every other server.
I just keep getting My only last thought is that my IP is blocked by the server. Although I wouldn't know why or how to even confirm that, since I've never been banned. So I have no idea what it would say/look like when trying to connect.

Final update; GOT INTO GAME!
My friend and I had gone through each file the game was trying to update, and he had individually sent me them. This was the only way to update.

The provided files on the forum are not enough for a proper update to play. You'll have to get ALL files from another player, if you encounter this problem until the ADL is fixed.

Glad you were able to get in game. I'm finishing up the last touches of a browser based manual validation tool and should have that out tonight.

Sounds good, hopefully no one else ever has this problem. I was fortunate one of my RL buddies was there to transfer the new files back and forth.

Hopefully there won't ever be a situation like this again, but if there is, please let the DMs and staff know if you don't have anyone who can help you out. We will upload missing or corrupt haks for you to download.
