Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

Ok since it will be awhile before the custom item changer is added and with my guild needing me along with nothing much to do on the other server i shall attempt to upload my custom armor as per the thread which deals with so doing. I have never done an upload and i am not good with complex computational tasks. Any advice or help would be great. Will make first attempt tonight.

Quite easy, download dropbox or google drive, drop the file in the folder that they create and then just send the link to anyone, i'd say dropbox is easier since they have a public folder and a quite intuitive link sharing.

I want to clarify... i dont just wish to import the armor for myself, i would like if possible for it to be added to the list of outfits so anyone can use it if they wish. That way if people like it they can use it and if i want to upgrade my armor i wont have to keep making new copies and annoying the dms with them. Can this be done?

YEs. Email it to one of the DMs

If it's a single item (like an suit of armor), then it can be imported for the appearance changer, yes. If it's multiple items, then each of the items would have to be imported individually, and you would have to locate each piece in the appearance changer.

That works fine then... Everyone can use it and I wont have to keep making consecutive copies every time I find a better piece of armor. May make a mace as well but that will be just for me.

Ok made the items and pretty sure i changed them to what was specified. A little trouble with the armor as its cloth and was not sure whether to list them as bg_armor_cloth or just bg_cloth... since the normal cloth armors dont include armor in the tag i chose to use bg_cloth_player name, as specified. All i need to do now is upload them and hope i got the process right. Wish me luck...

If the files have any errors which prevent them being imported let me know quickly so I can fix them.

Ok im told it could be a long time before the items can go public and was told for now to import them for my personal use since that is much easier then making them public. Therefore I would request this be done when it is reasonable for a dm to execute this. Obviously server issues come first hence why I say "when reasonable". I will be logging in at various times and can collect the items whenever they are ready. My thanks to the players and dms for helping me learn how to do file uploads and export items. Could not have done it without your help.
