Baldur's Gate : The Sword Coast Chronicles : NWN2 Persistent World

Hey guys, this is a program I use a lot when I play in the UD. I think it's great for players unfamiliar with the Drow tongue, that want to blend in or add flavor to their text. It also helps the player become familiar with some of the terminology.

The program to use is Phrase Express

Then you can download this file I made; Drow Dictionary, to auto translate some words to help add flavor without memorizing the diction yourself. I made this because when I first made my UD character, I had very little time to RP, but wanted to feel just as immersed in his surroundings. Even though I may not know the words, my character speaking them helped me become more comfortable in the darker counter-part of the server.

Hopefully some of you guys will find this useful as I have. Please comment if you think some words should be removed or added, and I'll update it accordingly. I'm trying to avoid words that are extremely common to avoid bloating conversations such as "To", "Of", or "Be".

In my experience, players are generally very friendly and forthcoming when asked OOCly what a word they've used means.

If you don't recognize something, don't hesitate to ask.

Of course, the UD is especially friendly. Though this absolutely helps memorizing words, as you watch the words you type auto translate. It's a good practice to use to learn words yourself. It helps you learn how to read it as well as easing your needing to think whilst typing.
