Does anyone know of any FR novels focused on Candlekeep? I don't recall reading any and I'd like to since my character is becoming more involved in Candlekeep in game.

You probably want The Herald, by Ed Greenwood, which has much (although post-Spellplague) lore about Candlekeep in it.

[Edit] I changed my original post to remove possible novel spoilers 8-)

It looks like this is book six in a series. Is it all Candlekeep or just this one? Can it work as a standalone novel?

The Herald is easier to understand if one has read the earlier works. It can be read stand-alone though, and it deals with Candlekeep stuff more than the others.

Lockonnow brings up a good point, if you can at all stomach the paltry vomit which is the Baldur's Gate novels by Phillip Athans (Baldur's Gate & Shadow's of Amn) and Drew Karpyshyn (Throne of Bhaal). They would touch on aspects of Candlekeep, but I believe significant portions of The Herald revolve around in-depth topics pertaining to Candlekeep.
